"Last week till half term!" Prince smiled, eating his lamb. Tyrone sat next to me chewing loudly.
"Annie, pass us the gravy." Prince said as I lifted the jug over to him.
"Darling, are you coming to my house?" Tyrone asked like he didn't already know the answer.
"Yeah, for a week." I answered shortly but quickly.
"I'm sad that you aren't spending Christmas with me but you have to spend it with your family."
"Yeah, and you aren't her family." Prince said to Tyrone, rage built up under his laughable tone.
"Not yet." Tyrone smirked lifting up my hand and tapping my ring finger.
"Oh, your 16 calm down." Luke rolled his eyes, pouring the gravy on his plate.
"Anastasia, you alright?" Prince noticed my frown.
"Hm, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."
"Want to meet me at the attic, 11:00pm or summin'?" Prince asked.
"Why?" Tyrone growled
"Every night once a year me and her have a midnight snack and catch up." Prince answered. I loved those nights. We would bring blankets and pillows and eat sweets and drink fizzy drinks whilst doing a horror movie marathon.
"Ok, well can I come?" Tyrone spat.
"It's something me and her just do." Prince said.
"Why are you always trying to keep my girlfriend away from me? Are you two hooking up or something?"
"Why are you always trying to keep my best friend away from me?" Prince seethed.
"Oh, just a best friend?" Tyrone almost shouted.
"Why don't we ask Anastasia!" Luke interrupted. "Anastasia do you want it to be just you and Prince or you, Prince and Tyrone?" Luke asked.
"I-I" I choked up. I didn't want to upset either of them. Any decision I made would get me hurt. I just wanted to crawl up into a ball and never leave that state.
"Your pressuring her!" Tyrone shouted at Luke.
"Why the fuck are you shouting at me for?" Luke shouted back.
"Fucks sake Tyrone just let me and Anastasia be!" Prince shouted. Pretty soon the three boys were shouting at each other. Henry walked into the canteen and his face soon turned from a look of happiness to a look of confusion to a look of shock. Prince had punched Tyrone.
"Guys, guys let's all calm down, yeah?" Henry tried to keep them all apart.
"Piss off Henry!" Tyrone shouted, pushing Henry over.
"Oi! Don't push him he didn't do nothing wrong!" Prince lunged into Tyrone, flipping the circular table over, spilling food all over the floor.
A dinner lady marched up to us screaming. "How dare you! What are you doing?" She shouted, shutting all the boys up. For a small lady she was quite loud. They all had food all over them. "Not only do you disrupt other peoples meal times but you cause a huge mess!" The whole canteen was staring at us.
"I will be talking to your head of year and headmaster! What year are you in?"
They all stayed quiet.
"4th year, madam." Luke chuckled.
"Are you 16?" She asked.
"Yep." Luke smiled.
"Clean this up in silence and escort yourselves to isolation." She glared at them.
"And you two!" She shouted, looking at us.
"Leave immediately, come and see me after school."
Me and Henry picked up our bags and rushed off. At least I didn't have to answer that question.
Princes pov
We cleaned it up, muttering curses under our breathe.
"Now off to isolation!" She growled, walking us to the rectangular building. We wrote our names down and why we were there and sat at opposite corners of the rooms. We got given work to do. My last lessons were science and woodwork.
I aggressively wrote down notes in my book and gave it to them to examine. The whole thing took me an hour.
Ok. Come down to the waiting room, wait there for your head of year." The lady told me as I walked out. I sat down in the waiting room when I saw Anastasia walk past with a folder of papers.
"Prince?" She smiled, walking over to me, "did you get out of iso?" She asked.
"Yeah, have to see the head of year." I sighed.
She chuckled.
"How are things with Tyrone?" I asked, I actually wanted to know if he was treating my best friend the way she deserved to be treated.
"Oh! Things are great." She smiled, "yeah, he's great."
"He isn't hurting you? Treating you bad in any way?" He asked.
Worry plastered her face. This was concerning. "No, why would you think that?" She chuckled, looking away.
"You can tell me anything, you do know that." I smiled, pulling her in for a hug.
"Mr. Avila?" My head of year spoke.
"Miss Quinn are you in trouble as well?" He asked her.
"No, sir. I just had to drop off these papers ." She said getting up and leaving.
"Prince, follow me." He lead me into the office.
"So, what's going on?" He asked, leaning in.
"Nothing sir." I responded.
"Prince, you've gotten into 5 physical fights this year, and I've been hearing from your teachers you often use vulgar obscenities, am I correct?" He asked.
"Yes sir."
"So how is this acceptable?"
"Not at all sir." I answered lowly.
"Is everything alright at home?" He whispered.
"Yeah, it's fine."
"Prince, I like you. You are clever and funny and very popular and confident, I see good in you, but the fights you get in get put on your report card which damages your grades so when you go out into the real world you won't get the jobs you can do and also you can't get into fights with people, in the real world there is something called prison which you might go to if you let your temper control you. I've seen how you act around Anastasia, your a different person when your with her, treat everyone how you treat Anastasia." He told me.
"But sir, you know I've been diagnosed with IED." I said.
"I know about the anger issues, why do you think you haven't been excluded yet? Believe me, we take that into account but when you endanger other students and no longer make this school a safe place this is when we draw the line and have to do something serious and Prince, your a brilliant student! You have so much potential, you just need to learn how to control your anger."
"Am I being excluded?" I asked.
"No, but you will go to an anger management class during period 3 and 4 once every two weeks and that will last till the end of the year and it will start..." he checked his phone.
"Next week on Friday, it will always be Friday."
"Thank you sir."
"Now, off to lesson." He smiled.
"I'm sorry, thank you sir." I smiled back walking off to my last lesson.
