Her Legacy | The Vampire Diaries

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐈

The girl layed on the ground hearing a door open to the caller, just because she was daggered didn't mean she could listen to or sense things especially since the dagger wasn't meant to kill her only to torture her for whenever the golden group needed to use her. What had her life turned into? Constent running? Self-sabotage? Someone else taking her life? There wasn't even anything she could think of in recent years that made her feel satisfied in the slightest. She had to find a way to get her life back... 

She listened to footsteps approaching her, feeling someone kneeling close to her. The last time she was let out of the cell was a few weeks back to help Stefan and Damon. Casually from time to time, Damon would come in and tease her of course but that was it. She had no life, no friends, no family, no anything. 

Poor little Katrina... all alone 

Bonnie stared down at the dagger contemplating everything. Her future, her child's future, her decisions to now. Was she sure about this? She felt a small push against her stomach she looked down in shock and let out a gasp in amazement. "Already?!" she took that as a sign, and grabbed the dagger with both hands; quickly took it out of the corpse's chest. 

Bonnie took out a knife from her back pocket, pricking the tip of her index finger, drawing blood holding it over the corpse's lips letting a few drops fall. 

Slowly the body seem to regenerate back to its form and she was able to open her eyes. The first thing she did was go for Bonnie's neck, picking her up and pushing her up against a wall, "Nice to see again, Bon Bon. Sadly you won't be here much long-" before she could finish she was cut off by the sound of two heartbeats one she took as it being Bonnie the other... was much smaller. She put Bonnie down and listened closely before quickly moving away from her. 

Bonnie crouched slightly to the floor coughing due to nearly being strangled by the vampire. "Do that again and I kill you for good." 

"Oh come on Bonnie! You know I always come back," she said leaning up again the wall opposite to where Bonnie was standing. 

Once Bonnie was alright she looked at the vampire knowing she already knew about her, "Judging by the way you scrambled away you know I'm pregnant. So let's skip that part, you're coming with me to New Orleans for my protection." 

"And what if I saw no?" 

"Well then you'll be stuck forever in this boring cycle of having no life and trying to destroy someone all for nothing. I mean seriously, you have been locked away in a tomb for years or on the run which ever story you pick with nothing to show for it. You have that chance..." 

Katherine rolled her eyes, "I am not going to be your guard dog little which especially if its against Klaus" 

"It's not against Klaus... its for Klaus" Katherine's eyes turned visibly wide as her whole demeanor changed. "The great Bonnie Bennett... getting with the big bad hybrid..." a smirk appeared on her lips "I guess you're not that great after all." 

"At least I dont self sabotage every chance I get because I'm afraid of having a life." 

"well I had a life before Klaus took it from me... maybe watch who you get pregnant by"

"And what have you done Katherine?" 

"What?" Katherine asked her with venom laced in her tone. 

"You are no better than he is. You've slaughter hundreds of people just because you can, killed half of Elena's family because you didn't get what you wanted, and took her away from her family. What makes you better than him?" 

Katherine lunged at Bonnie and in that moment Klaus, Elijah, Damon, and Stefan all vamped down to the caller trying to get in on the magic that was keeping Katherine in kept them out. 

Katherine grabbed Bonnie by the throat again but then looked at entrance to the cell noticing that none of the boys could get in. She then looked at Bonnie, "You came in here with no backup? Either you are the dumbest person on the planet or- " 

"Or I know you're not going to kill me." Bonnie replied in a calm tone. 

Katherine took her hand off of Bonnie's throat and crossed her arms, looking at the witch amused, 
"And why is that?" 

"Because I'm giving you a life. May not be the one you want but you will be able to live with me. I know deep down this has to be exhausting seeing someone else have what you want so come with me and lets make a life worth living... all I ask is that you protect me and the baby. You can even leave after she is born I promise... or of course you can stay here and rot away. Its you're choice" 

Katherine looked Bonnie then at her stomach, knowing how it feels to be a mother on her own and not being able to give the life she wanted to her child she could only imagine the horrific things Klaus's child could go through... not that she cared about Klaus but the child is an innocent factor... plus whats a few months with annoying Bonnie going to do? Change her? 

"Fine... but keep your hybrid on a leash. I can't hurt you or maybe him but I will leave you both high and dry if he lays a finger on me." 

Bonnie gave a chuckle, "He'll be too busy playing king for that." She then took down the barrier and let Klaus and the others in. 

And before they knew it Kathrine and Bonnie were off to New Orleans with Klaus and Elijah following shortly behind.
