(This is a high school AU where Tsushi does have parents but they are divorced he switches from place to place every week and Aku lives with Gin and a step-mother who i will name Aimi. Atsushi and Kyoka are siblings)

"Atsushi are you ready?!" His father yelled from downstairs

"Yeah, i'll be there in a moment" he shouted back while putting the last piece of clothing into his travelling bag.

It was early morning on a wednesday he never really understoof why exactly he had to get up this early so leave his things at his moms place just to leave for school shortly after again it would make more sense if he just went after school right? maybe it was just better to not question it.

He went downstairs and placed his bag on floor besides his book bag before going into the kitchen where his dad had already prepared breakfast

"Good morning Atsushi" he smiled

"Good morning dad" he sat on one of the bar stools infront of his dad as he begun eating

"So do you want me to drive or is Akutagawa coming to pick you up?"

His dad was happy for Atsushi when it came to him having a boyfriend it was this same question every morning

"Well i'm not sure he didn-" he was cut off by the doorbell

"I'll go get it just finish up breakfast" Atsushi nodded as he took another piece of toast into his mouth.

When he finished breakfast he quickly got up and put his plate in the dishwasher and went out to the enterance where his dad and boyfriend were chatting

"We have to drive by your moms place correct?"

he nodded slightly leaning forward to kiss Akutagawa on the cheek "Bye dad i'll see you next week" he waved as he grabbed his two bags and left for his boyfriends car.

When they started driving it was quiet the silence just filled the small room of the car quickly "Are you alright Atsushi?" Akutagawa slightly turned around still keeping one eye on the road

"Yeah, i just wish I didn't have to go today you know?" He placed his right hand on Atsushis thigh

"It'll be alright I'll be here for you if you need anything" He drove into the driveway and Atsushi got out of the car

"I'll be back in a minute" he smiled

"Take the time you need"

he closed the door and went to get his bag before running into the house.

"So Atsushi? Who brought you here today?"

He stopped and turned around "Uhm a friend?" Which his mom knew wasnt the truth but she wasnt going to question him

"Alright now get to school"

"Right see you later" he quickly left the house and ran back to the car.

~At school~

As they walked through the doors of their school they were quickly greeted by their friends

"Atsushi did you do the homework for today? I kinda forgot about it"

"Uh i did but i cant keep giving you the answer you know at one point the teachers are gonna find out and we'll both get in trouble"

Tanizaki groaned "I know, but please i promise this is the last time"

"Fine" in the end he gave up it was usual he cared about his friends more than anything well ofcourse not more than his amazing boyfriend and well half amazing family but that wasnt something he mentioned a lot.
