Backtracking brought back a lot of memories. Walking through the projector room reminded you of your puppet show with Bendy, going through the dark narrow corridor made you think of the game of tag you both shared, and heading over to Animation Alley's entrance reminded you of when you first met the little demon.

'Any idea of where we should go? The only way forward is blocked and in need of power.'

Bendy pointed to your Gent Pipe and then to the blocked door. 'Are you saying I need to use this to power it? How does that work?' Bendy narrowed his eyes, trying to think of a way to explain it. He went over to a puddle of ink in the corner and scooped up a small amount, and began to write on the floor.

C....on....d...uct...or...

'Conductor? As in train conductor?' Bendy shook his head, and wrote underneath:

N...OT.... In...su...l...at...or

Not insulator?

You thought back to Science class when you read that word.

"A conductor is what, class?" your teacher Miss Davis had once asked you all. A smart girl raised her hand, to which the teacher called on her. "They allow electricity and charge to transfer through them, while insulators don't." She said this in a matter-of-fact way, making you want to roll your eyes.

'Bendy... how on Earth do you know that?' He gestured to all around him with a smile on his face. 'Right... this whole world doesn't really make sense... it would probably be best to understand engineering here though, huh?' Bendy beamed at your understanding and bounced slightly in excitement.

'So, what you're saying is... is that I need to transfer energy into this pipe, to then transfer it into the door's lock?' Bendy nodded his head, thankful that you understood.

'Seems simple enough.' You gripped hold of your pipe and swung it slightly, testing how well it's agility was. 'Where do I charge it?'

Bendy whistled and gestured for you to follow him. He took you toward the Animation Alley entrance, but not inside. Stopping in his tracks and turning toward a strange device, you noticed a table that you remembered.

'Hang on, I remember going past this and thinking it wasn't that big of a deal! I could of just charged it?' Bendy snickered and walked over to it, tapping the benchtop.

'That's so annoying... Then again, I'd have never known what to do with it...' You placed your pipe into its designated spot, and turned the crank. Nothing happened. Bendy rushed over and put his hands in your pocket, shuffling stuff around.

'Wait, what are you-' he drew out a battery and walked over to a deposit box. '-oh.' He nodded to you for you to try again. Well, that was silly of me...

You turn the crank once more, and electricity ran through the pipe, a progress bar shining its lights at the top. Once the bar was full, you stopped cranking and took the pipe out. 'No way to know if it's charged unless I try, right?' Bendy gave you a thumbs up, and walked around the corner to where the huge hole in the floorboards was.

Grabbing hold of him, you let your abilities flow to your hand and allow you to teleport to the other side. Bendy looked a bit winded from the travel, but you had gotten used to it. 'Let's see...' Holding your Gent Pipe tightly, you open the door's lock and shove the pipe into the designated hole. A whirring sounded and a light blinked on for you to pull the lever beside you. Doing so, and the door's barricades shrunk back, giving you access. 'Jackpot!' you exclaimed, pumping the air with your fist. Bendy looked proud of you, his grin extremely wide.

(Okay, I just wanted to say something. I know that I completely skipped over a part of the game, but that's because I felt that it was unnecessary for the book. Having to upgrade your Gent Pipe to make it a conductor of energy just was a game mechanic, which I didn't think was all too relevant. I'm sorry if that annoys anyone, but I think that it's okay. Now that I've got that cleared up, let's continue the book.)

'"The Keepers see everything"?' The words were scrawled messily on the wall, making it obvious for whoever entered through the door. 'What are Keepers? Alice never talked about them...' Bendy gave you a look of pure fear and he latched onto you. 'Woah! What's wrong? Are they that bad...?'

He was shivering. Why was he so scared over it? You knelt down and hugged him tight.

'Whatever they are, I won't let them hurt you. That's a promise, okay?' You wiped his eyes as you noticed a single tear travel down his puffy cheeks. They must be horrifying to scare him that bad... You let go of him, but still hand his hand tightly, continuing forward.

'Come on, Bendy.' He followed quietly, not chirpy like normal.

You only walk a few steps before Bendy stops in his tracks his eyes wide. 'What's the matter, bud? You can tell me...' you turn to look at him, but you immediately notice his face starting to drip with ink.

'Are you ok?!' You try to wipe away the ink from his face, but he pushes you away. 'Bendy?' He stares at you in regret and sorrow while a low and familiar growl echoed throughout the room.

  I'm sorry.

He ran away from you, and you couldn't catch him in time. 'Bendy!' The growl sounded exactly like... no. Did he hear the Ink Demon and decided to run away again? Your mind hurt as the thoughts whizzed around in your mind.
