Your eyelids scrunched a little and you cringed whilst regaining consciousness.

How long have I been out for?

A happy and cheery whistle erupted beside you and your eyes shot open from being startled.

'Hngh... Bendy!' You sat up and saw your friend bouncing up and down in excitement for you waking up.

Your back felt a little tender, but after being treated by your "people", it definitely felt a lot better. One of the soldiers was standing guard by the door, making sure Bendy didn't do anything to your unconscious body. He wouldn't of anyway.

'How long have I been out?' you asked the guard.

'Only a few hours, Amok.' he replied sternly, keeping his composure.

'Thank you,' you said with sencerity in your voice, which he sharply nodded for in return.

'Now, my lord, I shall take you to the treasure trove so you may bear witness to your new possessions.' He bowed slightly and walked away, expecting you to follow. You got out of bed while Bendy stayed close and held his hand over your tender injury, being sure that nothing would happen.

He led you to a small room filled with slugs, parts, batteries and food. The amount of slugs on the table made you freeze and stare in awe. 'All of this is for me, right?' you asked the man who had brought you here.

'It's everyone's, but you rule over our currency.'

Well now I can't take it all... damn.

You take twenty-five slugs from the table, leaving plenty there. You take a small quarter-cut sandwich piece and take a bite, you offered the rest to Bendy which he politely declined.

'You haven't eaten at all from what I've seen, though...' He shook his head. You sigh and eat the rest of the sandwich with the soldier stares at you and Bendy intently. He obviously didn't like the idea of a demon being a higher status than him in this monarchy, but he had to put up with it. It was of your wishes.

'I must leave now,' you told the guard, who nodded sharply once more, not daring to show any emotion. 'Before I go...' you go up to him and, although hesitantly, hug him tightly. The guard and Bendy is surprised by your action.

'You don't have to bottle everything up, you know. Having some emotion or passion is good for you.' The guard stuttered, for he didn't know what to say. He didn't have to say anything, you already knew he was grateful. And you were rather grateful too... a hug is a nice comfort for a place like this.

'Goodbye,' you called, loud enough for everyone around in the echoing sewers to hear. The ringing and cheering voices of "Hail Amok" and "Hail the Lord" last for quite a while as you walked away with Bendy trailing behind.

Someone had pulled a lever for you, because as you walked back out of the throne room and into the sewers, you heard a roller door squeaking open. Bendy pointed down to where it was and you nodded a thank you. Holding him tightly, you both flowed down the sewer toward the door.

But he suddenly pushed you away when you got down, holding his head in pain as he dropped his toy.

'Bendy?' You tried to grab his hand, but he pushed you away again. He tried to run off, but you grabbed him by the upper arm and pulled him into a tight embrace.

He familiar growl sounded throughout the room and you froze.

'...Bendy?'

His eyes were tightly closed as he cried, obvious pain on his face. Ink dripped down his face as you saw his body start to grow and protrude at odd angles.

'Bendy what are you-'

The sudden realisation of everything struck you across the face. Every time he ran away, every time he cried when he came back, the looks of shame...

'...No...'

You refused to let go, still holding onto him as he grew. You gripped his head tightly with your left hand.

I have to try.

Emotions were enveloping you as your jaw tightened at this horrific reality. The reality that your friend had been trying to kill you this whole time. He started to weep in pain as you held his face, his transformation stopping halfway from your abilities, his face melting slightly as getting hotter.

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts...

You had to keep him with you.

I see your mind as the truth unfolds...

The Ink Demon's voice echoed inside of your head, but you tried your hardest not to pay attention.

You will accept this fate... before the end...

'No!' You cried out in retaliation, slapping his face to get him to shut up as you worked.

I'm sorry, Bendy... but I need you back...

Slowly as you ignored his cries of pain and his words of tempting, he started to shrink once more. His weeping was making your eyes water... You hated Bendy in pain, but this is what you had to do. While you knew that this power you had wouldn't kill him in this powerful state, you knew it would still hurt him.

'I'm sorry, I'm sorry... please- its okay...' you muttered, trying to keep a reassuring and soft voice as he shrunk lower and lower, until eventually you felt the ground against your feet once more. Bendy was back in his usual state, but obviously in a lot of pain. Tears were flooding out of his eyes as he grasped his face, hiding his shame. 'I'm not mad, I'm not mad, Bendy!'

It was obvious that these two were separate entities now, but it seemed Bendy still hated himself for it.

You shook his shoulders to get his attention and hugged him tightly.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I don't want to, I didn't mean to...

I know, Bendy, I know...

'Calm down and let me have a look...' He slowly uncovered his face and you saw that there was a terrible hand print mark on his face, burning and steaming; oozing and bubbling.

'Oh my god-' your eyes widened as you stared at what you had done. 'I'm so sorry- God, I-'

You had to do it.

You realise he didn't really have a voice, it was like he was just putting the words in your head. That was why it felt so different hearing him talk instead of the demon, or the Dark Puddles... but he couldn't speak out loud. Neither of them can. Only they can get inside of your head to communicate.

'I still...' You looked over his head and thought to yourself on how you could fix it. 'Can I touch it again? I swear I won't make it worse.'

Bendy nodded and closed his eyes, you gave him his toy he dropped to hold. He squeezed it so tightly; he was in so much pain...

You rest your hand onto the mark and calm yourself down, thinking of all the times this demon had thought and looked out for you, even though the other part of him was hunting you. He never gave up on you.

Faith in a demon is something so rare, down here... only few worship his likeness now...

The voices of The Dark Puddles called, making you lose focus.

Shut up, would you?

Your strength can even power over this great entity somehow... we really made the right decision...

I didn't overpower him, he hadn't fully turned.

You still stopped him... what else are you capable of?

Shut up!

They did as you said and you concentrated on healing Bendy's melting face.

Come on...
