Regina broke the kiss first and doubled over, her vision swimming. She was hit by a sudden wave of nausea that almost sent her lunch to the floor, but miraculously, she was able to hold it back long enough to scramble to the bathroom. Robin followed her quickly and was met with the sight of his love hugging the toilet, emptying the contents of her stomach. He quickly knelt behind her and held back her hair, rubbing what he hoped were soothing circles on her back.
When she was finished, Robin got a cool cloth and began to clean off her mouth. "Are you okay, Milady?" He asked her, confused as to where this had come from, but also concerned that she was alright.
"No", she said in a small voice, hands shaking, "Give me your hand."
He obeyed, but threw her a quizzical look as he did so.
"What does this feel like to you?" She asked him as she laid his hand on her stomach. His brow furrowed in confusion as he felt a small bump on her abdomen that had definitely not been there this morning.
When he didn't answer, she asked him, "Do you think that I am getting fat?"
Robin look up, straight into her eyes. She felt as though he could see straight into her soul and it took her breath away.
"Listen to me, Regina", he said, not at all sounding like the carefree Robin that she she knew, "I don't care what size you are. You could be the biggest person in this realm, or any other realm, and I would still love you with my entire heart and soul. You are beautiful inside and out, okay? Don't ever forget that."
Regina felt her eyes begin to tear up. She didn't know why she suddenly felt so emotional all of a sudden. She never cried! Not even in front of Robin.
The phone rang and Robin asked her, "Are you okay if I go answer that?"
She nodded, glad for the distraction. Her hand went to her abdomen, unconsciously rubbing it. It was as if her body had already accepted what her head could not yet comprehend.
Regina looked up as Robin reentered the room. He knelt down beside her.
"Who was it?" She asked, not really caring unless it was Emma or Snow who were currently watching Roland.
"It was Dr. Whale.", he said, letting out a big sigh, "He wants us to come to the asylum because Zelena just started screaming and banging on the cell bars. He says that if he can't get her calmed down soon that he is worried she might start to do something worse that would put the baby at risk."
Regina looked up at him with big eyes. "You mean that he is afraid that she might have a miscarriage?" She asked fearfully.
When he solemnly nodded, she started to try to get to her feet, but a big hand on her arm stopped her.
"Where do you think you're going?" He questioned, his hand still on her arm, not allowing her to get up.
"To make sure that my sister does not kill my niece." She answered matter of factly.
"You just threw up. You need to make sure that you are alright before you go anywhere." He told her firmly.
She rolled her eyes. The overprotective thing had been cute at times, but right now it was just plain annoying.
"Dr. Whale will be there. Besides, we can kill two birds with one stone and find out why I suddenly got super sick. Also, I feel better now and the dizziness seems to have gone away for now." She said, starting to get up and leaving no room for argument.
Robin, knowing that there was no way that he would be able to win this battle, said, "What ever you say, Milady. But if you start to feel sick or dizzy again, we are coming straight home, understand?"
She nodded, knowing that was the best that she was going to get.
They exited the bathroom, Robin with his arm around her waist, steadying her.
They found Henry in the living room, and when they came into the room he looked up a little too eagerly.
"Hey Mom, Robin." He said, trying to sound like the cool teenager that he was convinced he was.
"Hi Henry, me and your Mom are going to go visit Zelena to make sure that the baby is okay after what the Author did." Robin told him, figuring that a half truth was better than a lie. They were going to go check on Zelena, after all.
"Okay." Henry answered, happy that he would have the house to himself for a little while. He just hoped that they would figure out what he had done soon so that he could show them how excited he was. He looked up for the first time since they had came into the room and frowned, noticing how heavily his Mother was leaning on Robin.
"You don't look too good Mom, are you sure you are okay to be going out?" He asked, hoping that his altercations had not caused her to become too sick.
"Not you too.", she answered, rolling her eyes, "I am fine. I was just a little bit sick earlier, but I am feeling much better now."
"Okay." He said, accepting her response.
Robin and Regina made their way out the door and together they pushed open the door to go face Zelena.
