Vivianne

The creatures that had been in the room at first slowly began to shuffle out, Lady Flora still stood aside fuming, and a few other people as well though they looked to be closer to the pretty birdman. I wanted to leave. Truly, I didn't even want to belong to a court- even though I had no idea what it was.

And I think I'd much rather be in Lady Flora's court, then in the Emperor's. I mean after all, I have been lying to her and now I was officially lying to an entire kingdom!
I wanted to speak up to tell him that I was lying and for him to let me go. I wasn't there on the mountain, nothing happened. I knew nothing and I would not be of use to him and his court but lucky for me, someone beat me to it.

"Your highness what possible use could this human have in your court?" A man with similar dragonfly wings to the mean man that had interrogated me earlier asked.

"Councilor you dare to object to my decision?" Bird man asks slowly, carefully almost like he was anticipating a fight.

"Never your highness I only ask about her value." he corrects an attempt to save himself.

"The human is capable of magic I merely wish to figure out how," He responds only this time he's now starring- or rather glaring at me while he speaks.

Stop looking at me.

The look on his face should have put the fear in me, but I couldn't, not with how kind his eyes looked. In his eyes was the promise of a million different secrets that he wouldn't dare to tell me. But I wanted to know each and everyone of them and for the first time since I've woken up in this strange and terrifying place I felt like everything was going to be okay.

Of course this didn't mean everyone was now happy, their was still one person who wasn't happy with this decision, other than me of course. But I was more confused than unhappy.

"Your highness I demand that she become apart of my court!" Lady Flora screeched and honestly I applauded her for her courage to talk to him like that.

Hard to believe id actually forgotten she was there, after all she did for speak up about her disapproval with this arrangement. She must've briefly slipped my mind.

"Flora you will not give me commands, my word is final. Now take her back to her cell, she is to be transported to my palace in the morning." He declared. "We are finished here."

Flora, how informal... they knew each other on a far more personal level than I first thought. that's probably why she was perfectly fine with yelling at him to do what she wanted. Lady Flora was left stuttering, but I could no longer focus on her I was much to worried about the four big scary looking men closing in on me.

They were a shade of blue, the lightest blue id ever seen but blue nonetheless. And they seemed to have scales all over themselves and possessed absolutely no hair, they reminded me of mermaids or even sirens that lived in the oceans. Though usually I picture them as women, as men they were far more terrifying. As they got closer to me then I began to notice that their eyes were entirely black and that they didn't possess eyelids.

Their black eyes reminded me of lady Flora's ladies in waiting, but watching them blink, sent a chill down my spine I wasn't prepared for.

"No! Let me go!" I screamed as they began to grab me.

Purely against my own will they began to cart me off, past all pretty people still shuffling out of the room, and the fancy bird man. Down plenty of stairs and back to the long hallway filled with cells, right back into mine.
Guess I really hadn't gone all that far...

They dropped me off- literally.

I let out a long strained groaned fearing what had just become my life, I never seemed to get a break anymore. The only break I'm beginning to think I'll ever get is one in my neck.
