Vivianne

"Okay I've gone past this painting five times already, will you just tell me where the kitchen is already?!" I ask throwing my hands up in frustration.

"You never asked." Honor replies simply, he'd been quietly following behind me this entire time.

What is it with everyone giving me the shortest answers on the face of the planet? Now I am hungry, tired and lost, will someone please just feed me already? Is that so much to ask, I don't think so.

Honor quickly takes the lead, taking a turn I hadn't quite seen. It lead to a hallway that was oddly enough- outside, it took my breath away. We were higher up than I first believed, we were just as high a the clouds, they were so close that if I reached out over the rail I would be able to touch it.

Their were even birds up this high, the most colorful birds I'd ever seen in my life. They were also the size of a hawk, big and beautiful birds. I stopped in my tracks and looked over the edge, I had a suddenly urge to jump... but I fought it back.
I merely closed my eyes and enjoyed the gently breeze, that accompanied being up this high.

"You act like you've never seen something like this," Honor mocked but in reality he hit it square on the head.

"I haven't... the most is ever seen is, well definitely not this." I said breathlessly.

"The you're really going to lose your mind when you see the rest." He muttered.

We continued through the hallway eventually making our way back inside the castle, everything looked so enchanting. The little kid inside me wanted nothing more than to run around exploring the place.

"So where are we exactly?" I ask wanting to know where my room was in case I ever got lost and needed to ask for direction.

"Why do you want to know?" he asked immediately going on the defense, was like I struck him with a bolt of lightning.

"So I can blow it up," I sarcastically replied.

I received not reply inside just a death glare pointed my way. "Not funny. Got it." I said reeling back.

With a clear of his throat he explains. "This is only one of the four wings of the palace, it's also the emperor's personal wing. For some reason he requested you be moved into it, maybe he wants to keep you under close watch?"

"Maybe... though you seem unsure, aren't you supposed to know all this? Or maybe you're secretly interrogating me to get more answers? Huh? Am I right?" I ask excitedly practically jumping upside down at my giddy.

These people clearly had the impression that I was stupid... I wasn't and they were about to learn that. Just because someone is young or different than you doesn't mean they're dumb.

I mean, I've heard a few towns over that they've had a little kids that have been as smart as doctors or writers. I wouldn't let them make me out to be a dumb human any longer.
The one second that I could use this whole damn human thing to my advantage... nah not worth my dignity.

"Listen here human, you're clearly smarter than you look and if you're up to something I'm going to find out what it is. After all no human should be able to do any sort of magic especially not what we found." Honor sneers.

Another threat- these are really starting to loose their effect.

But what really caught me off guard was 'found' not 'saw'. "You were on the mountain." A fact not a question. "When?"

More silence. "When?" I grit out again, wanting to know what Honor knew because maybe, just maybe he could answer a few of my more simpler questions.

"The morning after your little light show, we found your ingredients and your blood on the altar, not to mention you." He replies while refusing to make eye contact with me, clearly I wasn't meant to know this stuff.
