Summary: Beta Kim Seungmin is the only one in the pack of alphas. When a fan mentions him being an outsider in the Stray Kids dynamic. They called it neglect, and  Seungmin called it business. 

He never thought of them as his packmates anyway.

The vlive is rolling as the members are getting cozy with one of the studios inside the company. Seungmin for a change has his phone in his hands, delicately scrolling through the comments of their fans. 

Their manager told them to wear a scent blocker and Seungmin didn't care about it, he didn't smell them in a way that could wrinkle his nose anyway. Even if the majority of his members are all alphas. Seungmin has never been bothered about it. 

They were packmates, or that's what they said but Seungmin thought they weren't. He never had the urge to be claimed or be intimate with one of them. His parents have the biggest contribution to his behavior, forbidding him to have a sexual relationship or take a marking so he would be claimed. Seungmin is just a bystander, watching full of alphas getting cozy and crazy with each other. He didn't mind. 

So when a fan called out for him being an outsider and the members neglected him, Seungmin just wanted to laugh out loud. Chan turned stiff automatically almost comical to his pov. His shoulder goes tense and his eyes change to glare, the dark eyes turning into intimidating. Seungmin decided to ignore his hyung.

"That's..." Hyunjin furrowed his brow deeply as if he couldn't believe his precious fan claimed an offensive thing to them as far as 'neglecting his members.' 

Felix snorts, reading another claim again. "Seungminie has been an outcast since debut, I feel like it wasn't scripted anymore. I wanted to adopt him!" 

Jisung coughed awkwardly while the staff never scolded Felix or any one of them, just letting them handle the situation to themselves. 

"But I am not," Seungmin says in a firm tone, using his neat translation where some of the members were forced to giggle. 

"It's okay Minnie, Stays will always be with you." 

"We love you even if you're not part of the pack." 

"Minnie deserved love in the world." 

The topic changed when one fan asked another question about Jeongin's new hair. They talked about it until they ended the vlive. 

No one said anything until they made it to the practice. Focusing on the step dance, Seungmin had already forgotten the tension earlier. Not knowing that most scents of his members change drastically. He was oblivious until Minho snapped and Chan needed to calm him down, Changbin followed them outside and Seungmin just watched them confident that their leader would handle the situation. 

"It's the first time I see Minho hyung snap," Jeongin whispered while Jisung also nodded his head looking at Seungmin with various expressions on his face. 

"Hmm," Seungmin just hummed, agreeing. He cared, okay? But he also trusts his members. Seungmin has never been the direct receiver of their thoughts, never seated with them and they will ask or tell him about their feelings unless it was group related. Wholesomely, Seungmin is only staying for them because of business. Nothing more. 

Indeed, he wasn't part of the bond. The mating between alphas is also intense and Seungmin is scared of them not being in control. He saw Felix and Jeongin with several marks and bruises after they spent a rut so Seungmin is really glad that his parents forbade him to join until he was old enough and could decide for himself.
