Summary: Kim Seungmin is a famous song producer but it is a secret.

Saint

Seungmin sighs at his drafts. It was his week off and he spent his day in his studio in his parent's house. Kim Seungmin slash member of stray kid is also a famous producer.

His career began when he was still in middle school. It was a lot, yes, but his uncle owns a music label in America where he was helping him to produce songs and gain money and rights through it. His face is unknown and got his uncle to cover his identity because of his other job as an idol.

His songs were sung by famous American singers and bands. He is hidden by the name Saint. His pseudonym was made by his uncle to only form as a joke but Seungmin just got on with it without a problem. He also received awards as best producer and his uncle proxy him to get the award.

It began as a hobby when he lived with his uncle who has a music label. He was only eleven when he wrote his first song and his uncle helped him to his potential. It's not really a problem since he was bored and America is a new environment for him. He got inspired when he went to his uncle every summer of his childhood.

And now his uncle was asking him to write a Korean song too for a collaboration with a famous artist who likes Korean pop which was getting famous around the world.

"I don't know uncle, I don't think it's a good idea to work on this. I have a break from the group but if the comeback is pushed, I don't have time to work on a rhythm." Seungmin snorted at his uncle behind Facetime. He's been working non-stop and his uncle knows it well but he is still not confident making things in his own homeland. There is a kpop group that is collaborating with his uncle's label. It's just a single song but he is still unsure.

"Minnie. I choose you because of certain reasons. I don't really understand why you keep this a secret from your company and members. It's not like they mind." His uncle muttered in an accent. He rolled his eyes and shook his head. He is technically a freelancer on this because he didn't sign any contract exclusively working for his uncle but the ownership rights of his songs are official to his name.

"I just... I don't want them to know..." His uncle scoffed at Seungmin. It's not a secret between them that Seungmin is insecure about his endeavor, it's not a bad insecurity but more part of his personality. Seungmin wants his work for himself, like a possession and he wanted it not to be exposed. His uncle on the other hand convinces him that his art is worth showing to the world.

It was Tuesday in the dorm and Seungmin's uncle is still convincing him to help with the production.

"I refused! I don't want to be associated with it." Felix came from nowhere and saw Seungmin's furrowed brow while sitting on the kitchen stool having his morning coffee.

"What? I told you that I'm not going to work with Korean artists. It's not about them being famous! Don't switch my words... Yeah. I'm in the dorm, what notes? I refused! Go talk to Mom." Seungmin breathes in and out after ending the call. He knows that he was just being stubborn but he promises himself that he won't do songs here. It feels wrong, especially since his members are all geniuses in making it. There are a lot of producer idols who have done a better job than him. He was ashamed of the project because he believed that he only does it half-heartedly. They are more capable than him who only does it as his childhood hobby.

Felix, Jeongin, and Minho heard his loud voice while arguing with his uncle and slowly slipped into the kitchen space. Jeongin sat beside him and patted his back, calming him down. Minho says about cooking them breakfast and lowkey told him if he wanted something to eat. Seungmin just said that anything is fine and Minho nodded his head with a glint of worry in his eyes.
