Here I am, sitting on my best friends bed while he and Atlas talk in the kitchen. I can only think to bury my face into his pillows and scream. This is some shit out of romcom. My soon to be husband is hot as fuck and my best friend who I'm in love with is also hot as fuck, fuck!
I laid there with my face in his pillow, inhaling Tristan's scent for several minutes before I heard footsteps come closer to the door.
"And this is my room, y/n and I usually hang out in here... Y/n? You uh, you good?" He asked me.

"Just peachy." I said sarcastically, my face still buried in the pillow.

"Well you were the one who wanted to hang out, so... What's the plan?" Tristan asked. I pried my face out of the pillow rolling over to face them.
"I don't know, smoke a bunch of weed until I forget about today." I huffed.

"Well that's no fun, I don't want you to forget about me" Atlas stated leaning up against the door frame. I glared my eyes at him.
"I have an idea." He said plainly with that stupid smirk on his face. I wish I could slap that smirk off his face, but another part of me wants to attach my lips to his, I mean it was going to happen event- NO! I love Tristan, and only Tristan. I can't let this flirt get into my head.

"What's your idea?" Tristan asked.

"Now it might be out of both of your comfort zones, but there's a party downtown tonight. Alot of hot chick I hear." He said winking at Tristan. His cheeks began to turn red as he stumbled through his words, "I'm not- No," he turned to look at me then back at Atlas,"I- I don't want to date right now." He finally said.
I felt a pang in my chest and shifted on the mattress, all the while Atlas continued to tease him, "No one said anything about dating." He smirked.

At this point I had stood up and walked out of the room, "figure it out what we're gonna do without me horndogs." I said slamming the door and plopping on the couch. I heard footsteps approach behind me, "if you haven't figured out what whore you want to fuck, don't talk to me." I said bluntly scrolling through my phone.

"I don't recall fucking any whores or having any plans to." The voice said. I felt the weight of the couch shift as he lept over the back and plopped onto the cushion next to me.
"Who are you?" I asked
"I feel like I should be asking you that, since I live here" he laughed.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." I said standing up.
"I was just joking I know who you are, Tristan never shuts up about you. Sit back down, tell me more about these whores." He stated.
I rolled my eyes at him, "my uh... My friend and Tristan are talking about going to a party with loads of hot girls and fucking them. Of course the discussion took place like I wasn't even there."I said frustrated.
His eyebrows crinkled and his nose flared before he burst out into laughter. Tears rolled down his cheeks and he sounded out of breathe wheezing.
"Oh man, that's hilarious. I needed a good laugh."
"What about that is so funny?" I said crossing my arms.
"Tristan doesn't do that, that just isn't who he is."
"Well then tell me why they're still in there talking about going to the party?" I asked.
"I don't know, but it sounds like a good time to me, let's go!" He shouted. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to Tristan's door pushing it open, "c'mon folks y/n says we got a party to go to!"

I really would have appreciated a heads up before this boy whose name I have no idea of drug us all to the mall. I literally threw a tamper tantrum the whole way there. This stupid blonde haired boy crammed us all in his tiny little car. Lucky I got the backseat so there was one space from me and from him.  Who meets someone for the first time and suggests going to a party?! I leaned my head against the glass and closed my eyes wanting all this to be over.

••••••••••••••
Elliot dragged us all out of the house and crammed us in his car. I was forced into the front seat, though I would have preferred sitting next to y/n. I know parties aren't really her thing, but maybe it's just what she needs right now. To let loose and live a little. I wouldn't lie to myself, seeing y/n in a skin tight dress dancing in the flashing lights isn't something I would ever turn down. It's been years since I've seen her wear anything but baggy clothes, it makes me want to punch the group of girls who did those things to her. I felt my body tense up, I glanced in the mirror to see y/n resting her head on the glass. He eyes were closed and her breath left a fog on the window. Another hand crept in though, he placed his hand on top of hers and asked her if she was ok. She shook her head yes then leaned back against the window. His hand didn't move.

When we reached the mall Elliot drug all of from store to store. He seemed to care little about what any of us wore but y/n. He made her try on countless dresses and we never got to see her in any of them. Elliot would give her a stack, shove her into the changing room and we stood there and waiting while Elliot begged her to let us see. I wish I had begged too honestly.
Elliot had begun picking out more dresses, mostly black, white, and red. Again we stood outside waiting as she tried on dress after dress.
"Elliot please, I don't look good in any of these." She begged.
She was lying, she looked good in everything. Atlas moved towards the door and leaning against it.
"Y/n I promise you no matter you wear you're going to be the most magnificent looking person there." He said charmly. Too charming, I wanted to sock him in the jaw, but honestly I wish I had just grown the balls to tell her that myself.
You could barely hear her voice when she whispered, "ok"
The door creeked open and she walked out her arms wrapped around her exposed stomach. A black lace wrapped around her arms and the dress clung to her with a cut out right underneath her breasts. The fabric clung to her thighs reaching a couple inches above her knees. To say the least I think we were all star struck. I moved in to tell her how beautiful she looked, but as soon as my feet began to move his hand reached for her chin. He moved her face to make eye contact with his, " I told you, you look amazing." He said. Her face turned a shade of red I hadn't seen on her before. Elliot and I shared a look and I could read his face. "You've got competition now"

Y/n walked up to the register with Atlas while Elliot and I were left sitting on a bench outside the store. I let out a groan  and placed my head in-between my knees.

"Don't look at me like that." I mumbled.

"Look at you like what? Like a bumbling idiot whos known this girl for years but can't make a move even though she practically lives at our house more than I do, why would I look at you like that?" He said matter if factly.

"Fuck you." I mumbled.

"I'm just being honest. From the way you describe her I'm surprised no else is trying to win her heart... Or maybe they are and she just finally got sick of waiting for you." He said slapping his hand on my back.

"I know... Trust me I know. I just don't want to fuck up what we have." I said exasperated.

"Hell maybe I should take a swing for her, throw myself in the running." He joked, at least it better have been a fucking joke. Seconds later y/n and Atlas were infront of us she was holding a white bag and his arm was draped over her shoulder. I stood up and grabbed her hand walking towards the exit.
"Alright, we got what we came for it's time to go."

••••••••••
I stood looking in the mirror at the dress clinging to my body. We had been to dozens of stores and I just wanted to be done.
"Elliot please I don't look good in any of these."
Footsteps moved towards the door, "Y/n I promise you no matter you wear you're going to be the most magnificent looking person there." I heard Atlas say.
My heart fluttered in my chest and I finally accepted my fate, "ok" I said stepping out of the small room. I instinctually wrapped my arms around my exposed stomach my eyes avoiding their gaze. I felt a hand graze my chin bringing my vision to focus on Atlas, "I told you, you look amazing." I felt my heart flutter in my chest. Could I actually be falling for him? Feeling this way about anyone but Tristan has never happened to me before. The cold metal on his rings pressed into my skin as I felt his thumb caress my chin so close to my bottom lip. My breathe hitched in my throat and the moment was over almost as soon as it started. I slunk back into the changing room removing the dress and putting back on my hoodie and sweatpants. When I stepped out it was just Atlas.
"Where did they go?" I asked
"They went to sit outside the store." He said reaching for the dress. I looked at him confused.
"What you think I'm not going to pay for my fiance's dress?" He said grabbing the dress from me.
"Please don't bring that up around other people." I whined.
"Have I mentioned it yet?"
"No."
"So why would I now?" He asked as we waited in line.
"I don't know, it's just- I don't want people knowing about it."
"Well it's going to happen eventually. Either way though," he said staring longingly at me," I plan on winning over your heart."
