His fire was back. Finally something familiar in the hellscape that was his existence. He could feel the excitement bubbling in his veins. He could fight the way he used to! Sure, it wasn't quite the same as when he was a Psyker, but it was unmistakably the heat of a flame attribute that he felt in his chest. He wanted to test it. He wanted to burn something.
"Cassian?"
Right. First things first. He had to find Bloodrain and beat the ever-living snot out of him. The bastard had been a literal pain in his side for far too long.
No sooner had the thought crossed his mind did an explosion sound from outside. Cassian raised an arm to shield his eyes as a few bits of debris shook loose from the ceiling.
"Cass, that Psyker kid is fighting Bloodrain on a building over there," Moros piped up, floating over to a nearby window.
"He's what?!" Cassian quickly moved over to the spirit to get a look at what he was seeing. Sure enough, he spotted the red-haired Psyker on the roof of the construction building next door. "That idiot's gonna get himself killed!"
The ground shook for a second time as Cassian exited the club building. He could see fire spewing out from the fight from where he stood on the ground, but couldn't place the locations of the two combatants from the distance he was at. Shit, he needed to hurry! It would hurt like hell, but he would have to climb the outside of the building.
With his mind made up, Cassian dashed towards the building. Using a combination of his shadow skills to shorten the distance he would need to run, he expertly climbed the building's outer wall and hauled himself up to the roof.
"Shows over, you budget spirit Halloween Dracula!"
"Oh-ho?" Bloodrain released his hold on the Psyker trainee and turned toward Cassian with a wicked grin," I didn't think you'd come to play as well. Hrmph, always getting in my way."
"Says the one who ran when he got his ass kicked," Cassian scoffed, glad for the chance to catch his breath. Climbing a building while bleeding out from a stab wound had definitely sapped way more of his energy than he'd expected even with the help of his skills. He'd have to take care of this fight quickly.
"Hah! That was before you know! With all that blood I just drank I am now unstoppable! Not even an A-rank Psyker would match my might!"
"yeah yeah, ultimate power, blah blah blah. Can we skip to the part where my foot goes up your ass now? I'm hungry." Cassian feigned a look of disinterest as he peered past the villain to the Psyker on the ground behind him. Other than a few shallow claw marks across his chest, the redhead didn't seem all too injured.
"You will die tonight, boy!"
Cassian dropped into a fighting stance as Bloodrain conjured four red orbs of blood in his hands. He quickly raised two [Shadow Slicer] blades to block as four crimson spears shot forward from the orbs. With his vision temporarily blocked, he missed the villain's movement until he was behind him, though Cassian was able to quickly slip around the villain using a shadow skill.
Bloodrain looked shocked to suddenly find his hand empty and he swung at Cassian, who ducked and returned the hit with an uppercut to the villain's jaw. Knocking him up into the air with the force of the hit, Cassian twisted on his right leg and used his left to send Bloodrain flying with a solid kick to the abdomen using his metal leg.
"Weren't you gonna show me some 'divine power'? What happened to all that fire, huh?!"
Cassian grabbed the villain's arm and pulled him back toward himself before smacking him away again with a fist to the face. Bloodrain bounced twice off the concrete with the force of the hit before landing in a heap near the red-haired Psyker. He spat blood, sending Cassian a look of palpable disdain.
