after a few hours of surfing with rudy, quin slipped a sundress over her bikini and hopped back in rudy's jeep; her hair still wet from the hours in the ocean.
"i really think you're gonna like dahlia" rudy smiled with one hand on the wheel and the other out the window.
"she seems cool" quin nodded "isn't she your ex?" she asked.
"yeah, but we broke up because we both- she had feelings for someone else" rudy corrected himself "she's with drew now".
rudy pulled into chip's driveway "chips gonna love you" he declared "he's like all of our dad's even though he only plays madelyn and drew's dad"
"is it bad that i'm nervous" she asked.
"don't worry quin, they're gonna love you i promise" he smiled placing his hand on top of hers.
this small action gave quin butterflies. the two made their way into chip's house, before anyone could even introduce themselves to quin, madelyn ran up to quin and engulfed her in a hug.
"thank GOD you're here!" madelyn exclaimed "you're gorgeous oh my god!"
"down girl!" chase joked "sorry about her she's untrained".
"everyone, this is quin!" rudy introduced "quin this is chase, madelyn, carlacia, drew, jonathan, austin, dahlia, madison, and chip! the other cast and crew should be here later".
"yeah yeah whatever, we need her" madison declaired grabbing her hand "sorry rudy but you had her all day"
the girls went out to the backyard and sat around in lawn chairs "so you used to date rudy?" carlacia asked.
"yeah, in college" quin nodded.
"i swear that kids still head over heels for you" madelyn smiled.
"mads! way to expose the kid" madison gasped.
"i mean she's not wrong though, he talks about you constantly quin" dahlia smirked.
"he does?" quin blushed.
"oh my god! you love him too!" madelyn exclaimed.
"shut up!" quin hushed "i don't want to fuck anything up, right now this job is all i have and if i have to leave because of a breakup... i don't know what i'll do"
