GILLION ANGST- >:)

This is another request from hercega ! Tysm for the requestttt hopefully I do this justice pfft-

The main idea of this is that the albatrio realises that they're in the same waters just about where they could make a pretty easy trip to The Capitol, Gill's home. Gill decides to visit and finds himself a little excited about it, but when he gets there, he finds a destroyed Capitol and traces that the Navy has been there already. He searches but essentially finds no survivors. He stays underwater for hours. Ollie (because he is the sweetest ray of sunshine I love my son) gets a lil anxious that Gill hasn't come back for a few hours, Jay (my beloved please gimme a chance) reassures him that everything's fine. A little while later, Gill comes back and looks rOuGH,, The crew question him and he breaks down as he explains what he found. Then it's normally scheduled for pirate crew comfort :') 

Idk how the Capitol works in terms of the whole... not being totally underwater because of the air pocket things? I can only picture Sandy's lil globe in Spongebob- BUT I'm just gonna be lazy and say there's like an arcane kinda barrier around the Capitol--

Also no, I will never pass up an opportunity for Chip to call Gillion 'Tidestrider' because I'm not a  c o w a r d- Chip will never beat the allegaytions and he deserves not to U_U 

I don't know why Chip is always the first one in my mind to comfort but it gives me the happy brain fizzies so lemme have this- the idea that sure Chip agreed to share responsibility between the three of them but he still feels ultimately responsible for Jay and Gill fuels my being-

The Albatross sailed on calm waters, the sun beating down just enough to warm the skin of anyone who embraced the day. The wind was gentle, just managing to balance the heat, as well as carry the salty smell of the sea across the deck. 

Gillion sat opposite Ollie, both playing each other in chess. Ollie seemed to be winning; his lessons with Pretzel, who was watching from the literal side-lines, perched on the railing, were most definitely paying off. Gillion hadn't stopped smiling, a pride swelling inside of his chest at Ollie's confidence with the game, when before he had asked both verbally and with his eyes at every attempted move. 

"And then... Oh. O-Oh! Ha! I won! Right?! That's a win..!" Ollie looked up at Gillion, who nodded with a growing smile. The boy jumped up from his seat, a victorious gleam in his eyes as he shot both arms straight up into the air, hands balled into fists. "I won! Haha! Miss Jay! Miss Jay, Chip! I beat Gillion at chess! Come lookit!"

Gillion watched as both Jay and Chip were summoned by Ollie's callings, Jay standing at the side of the table, looking to see that Ollie had in fact beaten Gillion. Chip stopped beside the seated triton, smirking. 

"Good job, Ollie. Though, if you got all your lessons from Pretzel, m'not sure if you're able to lose. She's abnormally good at the game-" Jay held back a chuckle as she saw Ollie's cheeks flush a hint of red, though not half as much as he used to. She had noticed Ollie growing a little less shy around her as they interacted more, which she appreciated. But the small crush Ollie seemed to have on her was sweet nonetheless.
