// Riptide Campaign..!

First of all,, I wanted to say thank you for reading my stupid little one-shots..! I really appreciate it, especially all the kind messages and for the requests I've been getting..! :D These one-shots are basically just a way for me to destress and get out my ideas, so it's really weird for me to see like,, 7.3k reads and nearly 200 votes? So thank you ;')

ANYWAYS THIS IS A REQUEST- :D

This is a request from Eggoboi34 So ty for the request,,! And I'm sorry it's taken me a decent minute to get to writing it ;')

Also I just woke up with a cold like,, twenty minutes ago so simply blame any bad spelling mistakes or anything like that on my sudden cold :D

EDIT: I wrote all of this (excluding the parts after the first two paragraphs, so you can see how successful I was in writing this ;') on Saturday,, It is now Wednesday. It was a cold and then it turned into a stomach bug so uh. Yeah starting to write this now ^^ Sorry for the delay, I now have no excuses for shitty writing but lets pretend I do ^^; I struggled with the ending of this so I figured just to leave it on a sad Chip moment? We love those here right ;')

I also need to rewatch the sad episode so uh, ouch for me if :(

TW// Mentions of pretty severe injuries! *Though nothing different from what we've seen described in episode 15..!*

(If there are any others, let me know! ^^)

-------

Gillion had woken up earlier than he usually would, which was extremely early. He was almost certain that the other would not wake up for another couple of hours. Something had been bothering him, not allowing him any sleep. Gillion had, a couple of minutes ago, made his way to the top deck, looking out onto the sea...

Gillion tried to give the benefit of the doubt when it came to the Overseas. He wasn't fully accustomed to everything and found himself to be learning new things every day he spent with Chip, Jay and Old Man Earl. But after recent events, he had started to wonder just how many of those new-learned things were true. The Undersea had warned Gillion of how untrustworthy and greedy the humans and those who lived on the land could be, so of course it was in the back of his mind all the while he had been on the Overseas, but he had figured after spending time and placing his trust into whom he considered friends that maybe that wouldn't be the case..! Or maybe the Elders just... got it wrong?

But of course, he was a fool for thinking as much. Not only had he started to doubt the knowledgeable and all-respected Elders, but he had also been played the fool by the human he had misplaced his trust in the Elders for! There was truly nothing more dishonourable... And so there was no other choice but to regain his honour. No matter how regrettable this reaction may be. Gillion had realised something ever since he had come to this revelation of the betrayal of his trust. That he had clearly strayed too far from his people's traditions, enough so that he was now placed in this exact situation. So he would remedy this problem the way his people would remedy this. He would fight to regain the honour that his friend had stolen from him. Well, he hoped that he would still remain friends, though he had started to prepare for that possibility to become less than likely. He would duel Chip the moment they met eyes this morning, they would duel until Gillion had regained his honour. He would make amends with becoming so easily unfaithful to his destiny, his fate and his people.

The sound of two swords drop onto the wooden deck of The Albatross. The wind is bitterly cold as it passes the face of a bloodied Chip, his hair sticking to where blood trickles from cuts and other wounds on his face. He moves forward clumsily, his trousers becoming wet from the spray of the still surrounding ice. Chip's once lowered head tilts to meet the eyes of a now panting Gillion Tidestrider. The Triton meets Chip's still furious gaze. Before anything more could happen between the two, Jay's voice rang out, her sword disarming Gillion's as she placed herself in the middle, distancing the two.
