Okay did I seriously just said that out loud?
I feel the stupidest person in all the state of Washington, not only because I called Matthew Memphis but also because Tommy was there listening. When I took a glimpse toward his direction he wasn’t looking at me, in fact he looked displeased. I don’t think is because I misunderstood his brother’s name, come on it’s just a name. Even though I knew he was not mad at me I was worried; his eyes looked tired and underneath them were two awful purple bags.
Wasn’t he sleeping? I know Tommy likes to hang out at night like vampires, but if there something I know he would never do is: admit he liked the power rangers as a kid and miss sleep. Tommy is a girl in the sleeping thing, if he doesn’t rests he gets all cranky like a girl in PSM.
“My name is not Memphis stupid” said dick dude. “It’s Matthew” he said crossing his arms. The gesture reminded me so much of Aaron and how he gets all pissed when someone thinks his name is Ronald, it almost made me smile.
Almost.
“Well I’m sorry,” I started “But we wouldn’t be having this problem if you had told me your name from the beginning” I said turning my head to the side. He just rolled his perfect deep blue eyes and stare at his brother.
Why do I have to use the word perfect in his description?
Tommy was staring at the floor with a conflicted expression. His brows were furrowed and his foot was clapping the floor with force, he looked tired and exasperated.
“Your going to start an earthquake if you keep hitting the floor that hard” said Matthew staring at his brother. Hot and fresh rage built up my throat, suddenly I got the urge to yell at the idiotic brother: stop telling him what to or not to do! But I restrained myself of making a scandal and instead bite my tongue. Just before Tommy said something a police officer interrupted him.
“Excuse me miss, I would like a word with you please” I nodded, taking a last look at, Tommy who gave me a smile of encouragement while Matthew did gesture as if he wanted to puke.
Poop
“I wanted to ask you some questions about what happened miss, if it’s okay with you?” he asked taking out a little notebook that had the front core of rainbow dash from My Little Pony.
What happened to professionalism these days?
“Yes sure, no problem” I said as he led us inside the dance studio where Gertrude was giving Alfy a cold stake for his eye. I supposed she got the stake from the Chinese restaurant beside the studio. It’s unbelievable who each and every time she asks something from those people the owner always appears by the door and talks to her rather enthusiastic.
I returned my attention to inspector….Blaze, as his tag name said. He looked back at me. “You know this little incident could have resulted in a tragedy, right?” He said and I nodded mechanically. I really didn’t agree with him, come on is a little bit over dramatic it wasn’t as if Matthew wanted to kill Alfy.
Wasn’t it?
“Good, do you know why the fight started? Or who started it?” he asked writing on his little notebook fiercely his own question. With that question my mind started rambling on what to say, if I told him that Alfredo throw the first punch because Matthew had me pinned against the wall and wanted to rape me, he would definitely arrest Matthew. This would make me soooo happy, but if Mr. Rapist gets arrested Tommy is going to have to stand beside him at the police station and pay the fine or the lawyer, and I don’t want Tommy to go through such charade.
So instead of accusing Mathew and make him pay for all the harm he has done to my mental health, I decided to lie in his behalf. Only for Tommy and his, also very delicate, mental health.
