Miyuki's POV: I was in my room watching the anime ninja + house life. It's about a man named Leroy who's secretly a ninja and is on a special mission but needs a family as a cover up, so he adopts a girl named Tanya who can secretly see clips of the future, he also pretends to marry a woman named Mai who is secretly a mob boss, lastly there is the cat called Vow who can sense any danger near by. As I was watching the show my parents walk in and ask for me to speak with them for a minute.
Mom: Miyuki sweetie, after you're finished with that episode it's time for you to go outside.
Miyuki: But mom, I don't like going outside, it's so bright.
Dad: You only have to be outside for at least half an hour ok?
Miyuki: Fine, can I at least take my journal with?
Mom: That's fine sweetie.
She said, patting my head with a smile. With that, I headed outside and made my way to the park.
Y/N's POV: It's been 2 weeks now since I was taken in by Nazuna and Michiru who I started to now see as mother figures. I often refer to Nazuna as mom and refer to Michiru as mama. (Give me a break I was low on ideas and was not using mommy since I know some of you will have your mind in the gutters.) We we're currently at the park as I was trying to learn how to skateboard.
Nazuna: Michiru, are you sure he has enough safety gear on?
Michiru: Nazuna, if we add any more the kid ain't gonna be able to move. You have him almost completely covered, bet he's sweating under all that gear.
While they were basically arguing I got tired of waiting and start skating. I was doing good at the start but remembered I had no idea how to stop or steer, causing me to nearly crash into a girl but managed to stop at the last second.
Y/N: Sorry about that. I'm still learning.
Miyuki: O-oh. No worries, I'm ok. I'm just glad my journal is safe.
Y/N: Journal? I ask confused.
Miyuki: Yeah, wanna see?
We then sat down as she told me about a fanfic she was writing in it. It's based around an anime called Tyrant. It's about a guy who gets trapped in an mmorpg game wondering if any other players got trapped as well. Her character is a small kitsune girl who also gets trapped in the game and works with the main character of Tyrant and his gatekeepers.
Y/N: Question, so you're a tanooki right?
Miyuki: Yeah, why?
Y/N: Then why not make your character in the fanfic a tanooki?
Miyuki: Mostly because I think they are so cool and majestic, also I kinda wish I was a Kitsune so that's also why.
Y/N: Ok but one other question, I notice you call the character of your story Y/N. Why not just give them an actual name?
Miyuki: I don't know why doesn't the writer of this story do that?
Y/N: Touché.
Just then a kid that would frequent this park shows up. He was a tiger beastman with the name Gao.
Gao: Well if it isn't the little runt himself, finally gonna not be a coward?
Y/N: Please just leave us alone.
Gao: Or what?
He then snatched Miyuki's journal from her hands.
Miyuki: Hey! Give it back!
She said trying to grab it from him but he kept it out of reach.
Y/N: Dude, you better give it back, or else.
Gao: Haha yeah right, you and what army?
Y/N: The army of my two angry parents and their friend literally standing right behind you.
He turned around in fear seeing mom, mama and Shirou towering over him with a glare.
Gao: Uh I gotta go.
He said placing down the journal and running away with his tail between his legs as he ran away.
Nazuna: You two ok?
Y/N: Yeah we're fine.
I said as Miyuki was staring at Michiru, circling around her a bit.
Miyuki: You're a tanuki too?
Michiru: Oh......yeah I am!
Mama said in her usual excited tone.
Miyuki: I honestly thought my family were the only tanuki's left. They are technically endangered you know.
Nazuna: Well, if I may ask how old are you?
Miyuki: I'm 9.
Nazuna: I see, well would you like us to walk you home?
Miyuki nods her head as I held her hand, walking her back home, feeling an odd feeling as I held her hand.
Michiru: Looks like someone has a crush~.
She said in a joking tone, making me embarrassed.
Y/N: Mama.....
I mutter quietly as we drop her off and head back home for the night.
