A new place

"Kris, wake up!" A familiar voice yelled. "KRIS!"

Susie was standing over Kris, which scared Kris at first.

"Kris, you awake?

"Yeah, where are we?"

"I don't know, but there is a path over there, and if it's not the way out I am going to explode."

"Ok, well then let's go."

they start to walk down the path, hoping that it would be some kind of exit in the mountain. they walked through so many paths, they thought they were lost. After a while, they heard footsteps, very soft footsteps. they were getting closer and closer, they stopped in there tracks.

"Hey, who's there!?" Susie shouted suddenly, startling Kris, and the thing making those footsteps. The footsteps stopped and then there was something that sounded like a squeal and then a thud.

"whoever is out there, we are not looking for a fight" Kris said. "We are lost, we have fallen down here on our hike and are wondering how to get out. Can you help us"

The footsteps started again, they seemed to be running now, getting closer very fast. somehow they still seemed to be soft. The footsteps seemed to be just around the corner now, any second something would pop out and neither Kris nor Susie knew what it would be, it gave them both anxiety. They both reached for their weapon, not expecting to actually grab something, but they did, they both pulled out their weapons and stood there, alert, waiting for this thing to come out from around the corner.Finally, the footsteps slowed down to a stop, it was just around the corner.

"H-hello?" Kris stuttered out. "Are you still there?"

A small head poked out from around the corner, it was the head of a little girl. she didn't seem to be too tall. The girl had short, brown hair. Her eyes where mostly closed, only open enough for the girl to see.

"A kid?" Susie said in a confused voice. "I wasn't expecting a kid."

"What are you doing down here, how did you get here? It's a long drop that not many people can make to get here." The kid said, coming out from around the corner now. they were wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with 2 purple stripes going through it.

"We fell down during a hike up the mountain." Kris said.
The kid hesitated for a moment, looking around. "Are you ok?" They said. " It's a long drop from up there to all the way down here."
"We're fine," Kris said "why are you down here in this weird one way maze?"
"I live around here, I can ask if I can take you guys home" The kid said "I'm sure mom wouldn't mind."
Susie looked at Kris as the kid took out a small phone. "I don't trust this." she said in a low whisper.
The kid put the phone away and looked at Kris and Susie "she said it was ok as long as you don't break anything important."
Kris smiled at Susie "you don't have to worry about me breaking anything," Kris giggled a little "what about you Susie?" They said in a joking way. Susie just rolled her eyes.
"Alright, lead the way... umm... what's your name?" Kris asked.
"My name is Frisk, what about you two? What are your names?"
"My name is Kris, and this is Susie" Kris said, pointing at Susie.
