Chapter 2 - New York. New Rules.

Y/n's pov:

The blaring sound of the alarm woke me up and grabbed my phone to turn off the alarm, I saw that it was 7:15, I guess I slept an extra 15 minutes. With a groan I got up and walked towards the bathroom to do my daily routine, after a quick shower I walked towards my closet pulling out my outfit for today, I went with something a little bit more casual since I'm just going to Ian's office and then stay at home, mostly working on my music.

I walked down the stairs and straight into the kitchen, I saw both of my parents eating breakfast, "Morning guys!" I said kissing my mom's cheek and patting my dad's shoulder heading towards the cupboard pulling out a cup, then I grabbed the coffee pot and pouring it into my cup and adding two teaspoons of sugar, I got to the kitchen table and grabbed a piece of toast from my dad's plate taking a bite, "Hey kiddo, why do you always take my toast? your mom's got the same ammount of toast as I do" my dad said, I always took his toast ever since I was a kid, I found it hilarious, my mom giggles at his remark, "It's a force of habit dad, can't help it" I replied. After finishing my coffee I washed the cup and looked towards my dad before letting him know we were gonna have to be at the studio, "Hey dad, just letting you know, I'll see you in the studio at 10am, I really wanna finish the song today, before heading to New York tomorrow" I said as I walked towards the door picking up my keys and heading out, as I got in my car I got a call from Ian.

"Hey Y/n, are you on your way? I just got to the office and let me tell ya, there's some executives here that wanna make sure everything flows smoothly" he said over the phone, I drove off focusing on both the call and the road, "Yeah man, I'm on my way right now, I'll be there in about ten minutes" I replied as I kept driving, Ian sighed and just told me to hurry. After a few minutes I pulled up at the parking lot greeting the guard, they've seen me here too many times, sometimes for business and other times just to see Ian, "Sup Jeremy! How are things going?" I said as I waited for him to let me in, "Same old Y/n, Same old" he replied letting me in, I drove in looking for a parking space, as I saw one available I parked, I got out and made my way towards the office, I saw the receptionist and greeted as I passed by. I hopped in the elevator and pressed the button to Ian's floor, after exiting the elevator I walked towards his secretary's desk, "Hey Kris, can you tell Ian I'm here please?" I asked as I leaned in her desk, she looks at me with a smile, "He's already waiting for you, please head in before he gets stressed out with those executives" she said pointing towards the door, I nodded heading in with a knock, Ian saw me and his way towards me with a smile, "There he is, gentlemen, my client and favorite guy, Y/n L/n" he said grabbing me by the shoulders pulling me deeper into his office.
