I woke up to the sound of the pouring rain, I looked at my phone and saw it was just 7AM, as much as I tried to fall back asleep, my body said that it wasn't happening, maybe it was the nerves of meeting Jenna's dad or I just wanted to spend my time with my family before leaving for eight months. With a groan and while stretching I got off the bed and walked towards the bathroom for a morning shower, I took my phone and connected it to the small speaker, after getting undressed I hopped into the shower, feeling my body relax as the water hits my body. After a relaxing shower I got dressed and walked downstairs, I saw my dad sitting in the kitchen island with a cup of coffee and a plate of scrambled eggs, I approched and sat next to him.
"Hey old man, how's it hanging?" I asked patting his back, he looked at me and looked kinda exhausted, "I'm doing okay, the boys are still hangin' but I gotta go get that monthly check-up tomorrow, y'know to see if I'm still clear" He said looking down at his mug, a frown made its way to my face, I always felt like dad hated hospitals after he got diagnosed with cancer two years ago, fortunately he's cancer free, he still isn't quite sure what tomorrow holds, exactly. But who is? Dad still hates the monthly check-ups, he lives with the constant fear that one day his cancer will come back, we sat quietly for a few minutes before any of us decided to speak.
"So, Tom and Travis came while you were in New York and we decided to get the gang back together" He said finishing his coffee, I looked at him with a shocked expression, "You and uncle Tom are on speaking terms again? Talk about staying together for the kids" I said smirking as I nudged him with my elbow. He chuckled and looked at me patting my back, "Your jokes suck, but you'll get better with time. What's the deal with you and this Jenna girl, are you two really dating or is this some PR bullshit?" He asked me, I looked at him with a smile. "We are really in a relationship, a little bit rushed, but at least it's not PR. None of our contracts stated that we would have a PR thing" I explained looking at my phone, turning my attention towards my dad I saw him get up and leave his mug in the sink, he grabbed his notepad, phone, wallet and keys before turning towards me.
"I'm going to the studio with the guys, we are planning on making another album but this time in Travis' studio, all three of us, you can join us if you want." He suggested, I sighed standing up. "I'd love to, but I already have plans for today, maybe some other day, tell 'em I said hi" I told him texting Jenna.

I guess I have time to spare, I grabbed my keys and walked outside, quickly texting my dad letting him know I'll join him until it's time to go to Jenna's.
