“STOP!”
Megumi held out his hand to stop Yuji and Nobara from running behind him after Typos halted and raised his hand ushering Megumi to stop. Once the five of them did, they took a look at their surroundings. Instead of the inside of a detention center, the five were standing in a desolate street with two apartment buildings looming over them silently giving off a quiet and eerie presence.
“What the hell is this?” Nobara exclaimed.
“What is going on in here?” Yuji asks. “Isn’t this place supposed to be a two-story dorm?”
“Okay, calm down!” Nobara says while turning to Yuji. “It’s a maisonette. It has to be!”
‘No, it’s not,’ Megumi thought to himself studying their surroundings. ‘It’s the deployment of an Innate Domain due to Cursed Energy. This is my first time seeing one this big.’
Megumi looked forward at Typos who was staring behind him with wide eyes, they were turned a faint yellow color. ‘Is he looking at—‘
Megumi slightly gasps as he turns around. “The door!”
Everyone turned around to see that the entrance was gone and replaced with wide tarnished pipelines gathered together.
“Where’s the door?!” Yuji asks in slight worry.
“It was right there,” Nobara answers frantically. “We came in through here, didn’t we?!”
Yuji nods as fear begins to settle in for him and Nobara.
“It’ll be fine,” Megumi speaks up. “The dog remembers the scent of the entrance.”
