It's Valentine's Day!
Ella did not expect that finding the perfect gift for Albert is such a hard task! It's her first Valentines with him after all, and she wanted it to be memorable.
A new pocket watch? His current one is still working. A new bottle of wine? He already has a collection of it in the basement. Tons of them! A cuff link? He can buy that on his own. And even if she pursued that last idea...she couldn't answer the question: "Why?"
It took her days and some sleepless nights to come up with the perfect gift when finally, it came to her mind: chocolates. Sounds like a better option as compared to the rest; after all, he's not even allergic to it.
When morning came, she excused herself from the manor to go to the sweets store. It offered a lot of options; however, none of them gives the vibe that Albert would like.
The idea of buying chocolates doesn't seem likely anymore. She almost gave up on the idea when suddenly she thought to herself: "instead of buying chocolates, why don't we make one for him that's unique? The one that he would really love and enjoy..."
So she went back into the store to get the necessary ingredients. Since Ella loves Albert so much, she puts all her efforts into making the best chocolate he's ever eaten. But of course, she needed a little bit of help from Louis.
When the day finally came and he has arrived home, she warmly welcomed him.
"Welcome home, love!", Ella said sweetly.
"Era...", Albert said as he was suddenly interrupted by a short kiss on his cheek.
"Happy Valentines Day! I made this for you though", Ella said while she presented to him a small, red velvet box.
"What's this?", Albert asked curiously with a hint of joy
"Well...open it", Ella said as she watched him open the box with a combination of excitement and anxiety. She thought to herself: "Is it good enough? Will he like it?" She suddenly holds her breath when he takes the first bite.
His eyes lit up with a smile crossing his lips. "MMMmmm...Ella, did you make this?", he asked as he took another bite of the chocolate.
"Yes! I'm so glad you like it! But I can't take all the credit. Louis helped me make them for you."
"It was all Era-san's idea, nii-san", Louis said with a smile while carrying a tray of tea set on the way to the living room.
"I love it, my love. Thank you! This is the best present I received after listening to those exhausting meetings.", Albert said as he hugged her tightly.
Albert really loves what Ella gives him. After all, chocolate mixed with wine is the best choice after all.
