Chapter Two:
"May I have this dance, Ms. Ashbury?"

"Walk with me love?" Amelia asked Rebekah once they had changed their clothes into more appropriate ones for this new time.

Amelia wore a pair of blue jeans, one of Rebekah's knitted sweaters over the top of a white shirt, with a pair of white converse. Rebekah wore a similar outfit to her wife's.

She didn't understand today's fashion, she much preferred the dresses from the early 1900's. She didn't understand how some of the dresses her wife now owns, could be so revealing. She made a mental note to make sure she only wears those dresses in her presence.

"Where are you taking me on this walk?" She smiled up at the brunette as she sat down on the edge of their bed with Amelia stood in front of her.

"Well, I'd like to meet this 'doppelgänger wench' you seem to hate so much. And perhaps we could have a moment alone for a little while, maybe go out for a meal like we often used to do." She smiled, placing her hands of either side of her face. Rebekah hummed in agreement, she didn't actually care where they were going or what they did. She was just happy to be back in her arms again, after so long.

"It has been a while since we last did that, it'll be nice." Rebekah agreed, standing from the bed and placing a kiss to Amelia's cheek.

"Drive much?" Rebekah sarcastically asked Elena, obviously still bitter about her stabbing her in the back. Quite literally.

"Rebekah." Elena replied, her voice trembling.

Amelia had attempted to avoid any violence with this encounter, but she understood her wife's desire to harm the girl after what she did.

"Surprised? You drove a dagger through my back, Elena. It hurt." The blonde grabbed the human girl by her throat, pinning her to her car. Amelia could hear the girls heart beating wildly in her chest, even more so when Rebekah attempted to bite into her neck. However, Elijah had stopped her from doing so.

He removed his sister from the girl and reversed their positions, his hand now around her neck. "Leave." He spoke, calmly.

"You're pathetic." Rebekah replied as Elijah released her from his grip. "Both of you." Rebekah attempted to challenge her brother, but Amelia wouldn't ever allow that to happen under her watch, so she sped out from where she was hidden in the darkness and wrapped her arm around the blonde's.

"Come on love, how about that dinner, hmm?" Amelia smiled up at the girl, earning a thankful smile from her brother-in-law. He was glad that Amelia could calm his sister, he wished all of his siblings would find someone like Amelia. Someone to stand by them and love them through the good and the bad.
