The pastor continued to talk about the Great Commission as the congregation sat in silence, intently paying attention to the message. Near was very focused on what he was hearing, and he was even taking notes in a small little notebook he insisted I buy just for church. He was very adamant that his notes be kept under lock and key unless they were being used, since he did not want his handwriting to ever become public knowledge, but I thought it was endearing to see the lengths he would go to for his rediscovered passion. As I listened to the sermon, my eyes wandered to the front right corner of the room where I saw two twins standing beside each other. Being mortal now, I was unable to sense their presence until I had spotted them, but I knew who they were once I laid eyes on them. They seemed to have noticed me, because they were looking at me rather curiously; their childish eyes fascinated at seeing me.

When the sermon was over, the noon church bells rang shortly after as the sound of people getting up and leaving filled the sanctuary. Other members of our church family were conversing with each other, but Near preferred to leave once the sermon was over; he did not want to risk anyone learning his identity. He held onto my hand as he helped guide me out of the pew and down the aisle.

"Uhh Near?" I asked over the sound of the others talking. He simply looked back at me to acknowledge that he heard me.

"Hmm?"

"I-I actually saw some friends I wanted to talk to. You can wait outside with Commander Rester if you'd like to."

"Oh? Sure. Tell me about it when you're done, okay?" he asked with a hardly noticeable smile. I knew he was not being controlling, but rather he genuinely wanted to know things about me because he honestly cared. I smiled back at him and nodded.

"Sure, I will," I lied. I really hoped to tell him everything, but I figured I would have to omit some details to keep my being an angel a secret.

I watched Near go outside the broad oak doors with Commander Rester who would always accompany us to our Sunday services. He was the only other one in the SPK that had said he was a Christian, so he offered to accompany us to church and protect us, or rather, to protect Near. After watching the two of them leave the building, I walked back to the corner where I noticed the twins. It was only myself in the sanctuary at this time, and I knew it was safe to speak out.

"You two are still here, correct?"

The two young angel children poked their heads out from around the corner with their multi-colored eyes; eyes that represented stained glass windows. After gazing at me for a moment, they both walked out slowly towards me, in awe at my different appearance from that of my Seraph form. One wore a black reverend attire adorned with a long white stole with a golden cross at the end of each side, while the other wore a white priestess dress and a headband with a matching golden cross. They both had short creamy blonde hair, both with bangs covering the opposite eye from each other. They both walked steadily over toward me, seeming more surprised than anything else as they finally made their way in front of me. It was safe to assume that they could tell my immortality was gone; for every angel was able to sense that upon glancing at another angel.

"So this is the human appearance you have chosen," stated the boy, Presley.

"You are mortal now? You did not even sense us until you caught our gaze," stated the sister, Preslee.

I nodded in response, knowing I had to confirm my new self. I could not blame them though, for a Seraph of all angels to sin and become mortal is definitely a huge deal, and explaining that it was because I loved a human was an even bigger hurdle to overcome.

"Yes, but it is for reasons of my own," I stated, "Is there a reason you were looking at me other than from curiosity?"

They looked at each other before looking back at me, and the male Principality spoke,
