The busy night, with cars zooming by and lights shining brightly, the sight could make someone squint immediately. Everyone was busy on this day, a Monday. They were all on the move, either to get back home or to start their night shift. It was the city life, always bustling with life. The smell of alcohol floated across the street; it was so strong that it might make anyone feel nauseated. The aroma was so potent that you could taste it on your tongue.

The wizard stood there on the street. This was far more than she could handle; there was no way she could find this "Lucas."

Everyone walked across the street, sometimes pushing or shoving the poor wizard. They gave her looks, staring at her foreign clothing, while she just stood there in a daze.

BEEP. BEEP.

The truck, choosing its target once more, attacked Athanasia.

She flicked her wrist.

Nothing.

She tried again.

Nothing once more.

Her mana was no longer present; it had been depleted when she arrived. The truck was now right in front of her, about to kill her.

"Watch out!" someone screamed. They came running, pushing her aside when they tackled her.

The blinding lights and honking confused our dear wizard. After passing out, she saw this man on top of her. He was shaking the life out of her.

"Call 911," he screamed.

"Wait—stop." My head was still pounding. "I'm fine; there's no need to call the physician."

As I tried to get up, he lifted me, carrying me in his arms.

"Hey!" I flushed. It was already hard enough to adjust to this environment, but now a stranger was taking me somewhere.

He took me to this shop. Even though there were fewer people in the room, the aroma persisted. He sat me down on this strange leather couch and left me to my thoughts alone.

The smell kept bothering me, my hands kept tingling, and the looks continued on. This place was definitely not for me. I had to accomplish my job as soon as possible.

The man came back with a drink, the smell becoming stronger than ever.

"Drink up," he said as he sat near me. I wasn't one to refuse his offer. Once the sweet taste touched my taste buds, it was all over for me. I was addicted. Addicted to the smell, the taste, and the bitterness. I guess this is what they call farsickness. I thought I'd miss my dusty tower, where all the books are cluttered. Yet, why am I willing to stay for this silly little drink.

"What is this drink called?" I asked.

He looked confused yet still answered my question. "It's a Latte, have you never tried one?"

I shook my head at his response. They don't have such a drink like this in Obelia, except tea.

"So um, how are you feeling? It must've been quite a shock"

"Ah, yes" A shock to lose my magical abilities. "Uhh, you see I don't quite remember anything."

"Wait what!" He shouted, "Are you alright, do you have your phone on you?"

Magic would've been real handy by now, unfortunately my hands are tied. I questioned, "A phone?"

-

Everyone had left the coffee shop at this point. Just Lucas and Athanasia are left alone together. Lucas is a 25-year-old man who runs his own coffee business.

Now it was only a matter of time until Athanasia could regain her magic powers back or not-
