3rd Person POVO.W.L. testing starts today. It's 8:00 in the morning and everyone is on their way or getting ready to go to the Great Hall for breakfast.
The Slytherin friends have already left their common room and are heading toward the hall, conversing among themselves as usual. About halfway there, they neared the golden trio. This caught the attention of Ava, in particular.
"I'll be right back." She said.
"Where are you off to?" Blaise asked.
"Just to talk to someone." She explained briefly.
She jogged to catch up with the three friends ahead of her and captured Harry's shoulder to get him to turn around and face her.
"Hey," she started, "could I speak to you? Just for a moment?"
"I'd really rather you didn't." Harry said as he tried to turn around and continue walking.
"Just listen, please-"
"He said he doesn't want to talk to you, leave him alone." Ron cut her off and stepped between her and Harry.
"This has nothing to do with you, Weasley, move." Ava insisted and swatted the air. "Harry, this is kind of important."
"Yeah, well, I have things to do and talking to you isn't one of them." Harry sassed and started walking again.
"Wait, I just want to apologize." She called after him.
Harry stopped walking and turned around. "You two go on without me, I'll catch up later." He said to Hermione and Ron.
"Come on, mate, she probably just wants something. Leave her and let's go-"
"He said he'd find us later, Ronald, come on." Hermione grabbed his arm and pulled him down the corridor.
Harry stood in front of Ava but didn't look at her, he kept his eyes on the ground and waited for her to say something.
She took a deep breath before she spoke. "I believe I owe you an apology for what I said to you about your father and how I spoke to you in general. So, I'm sorry. I had no right to say what I did and I deeply apologize for bringing your family into it, I hate it when it happens to me and I'm a hypocrite for doing it to you. Again, I'm very, deeply sorry. Forgive me?" She gave him a timid smile.
Harry had finally looked up from his shoes and looked her in the eyes. "Well, by that logic, I should be sorry too. I kinda called your father a murderer." He laughed awkwardly.
"Don't worry, I did it first. And to his face." Ava giggled and looked down. "So, can you forgive me?"
Harry nodded. "I forgive you."
She smiled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling him into a friendly embrace. "Thank you."
He wrapped his arms around her middle, returning the hug. "Walk to the hall with me?" He asked.
"Yeah, of course." They started walking down the corridor again.
"Did I hear you right? When you said you called your father a murderer to his face?" Harry asked.
"Maybe." Ava glanced at him out of the side of her eyes.
"Speaking of whom, how are you two? Did you ever speak to him? I mean, you were sent out of class and to him the other day. How'd that go?" Harry quizzed.
"Oh, uh, I spoke to him a few days after your failed lesson. We're on good terms now, so getting sent out of the classroom was only frustrating because of the situation with Umbridge. There was nothing to worry about when it came to facing dad that day." She explained.
