Chapters 11 - Brave

Aaron's POV

I got her some medication for her stomach cramps but it wasn't helping, she still wasn't feeling good so I had to call my doctor to come in to see her.

"Aaron I told you that you didn't have to call the doctor" She said while curled up in the bed.

"Well he is already here and he is coming to see you, ok?"

She looked at me with a faint smile. "You are acting like my mom would" She said.

"Shut up"

She laughed.

"I'm going to get the doctor, I will be right back"

While walking out of the room something hit me. I wonder if she was pregnant. I mean she was with Jude in L.A. I felt a sudden rush of anxiety and sadness just hit me.

"Dr. Charles, she will see you now"

"Ok sir" he took his time to get up from the kitchen counter.

I led him to the bedroom, then introduced to her. As I was about to leave so they could get some privacy she asked me to stay.

I scratched my head. "Are you sure Marisa? Dr. Charles will be asking you personal questions, right Dr. Charles?"

"You have been taking care of me for the past 13 hours, what's more personal than that?" She asked.

I had a mild flashback of me helping her out of the bath, I didn't see anything but my imagination ran wild.

"You just want me in here to prove that nothing is wrong with you so you can get to go home right?" I asked.

She shrugged and Dr. Charles laughed.

"You two are adorable"

We both looked at each other then she dropped her eyes to her hands.

"I will stay" I took a seat on the bed next to her.

"What exactly are you feeling Miss Jackson?" Dr. Charles asked.

She took a deep breath. "I was feeling nauseous but that went away after I got some sleep, now I keep getting this on and off pain in my stomach"

"Sure you two haven't made a baby" Dr. Charles asked followed by a chuckle.

Now that was really funny and I'm going to push it further.

"Yeah I might have hit the target" I said.

Her mouth fell open.

"Aaron!" Pinny shouted while covering her face to hide her laughing.

"Oh I see" Dr. Charles was all smiles and looking at us like a proud dad. I was enjoying this to much.

"Dr. Charles I must apologise for Mr. Lions lies. I am not sexually active and I haven't been, so there is no possibility that I am pregnant"

Dr. Charles looked at me and I looked at Pinny who was looking at her hands.

"So this sounds like food poisoning. Any fever?" Dr. Charles asked.

"No, not at all" She answered.

"Ok I am going to do a little examination on you so could you just lay back for me?"

I got up from the bed to give them some privacy "I'm going to check on the soup" I told her.

She didn't want me to leave but I wanted some time to think, so I made my escape.

My thoughts began to race. She wasn't with Jude like I thought? I checked on the soup like I promised but my mind was on her. I felt my phone went off I check to see a message from Briah but I couldn't respond right now.
