Pinny's POV
He held my hand and we walk downstairs and made it our way to the spacious dining area.
The table was set as if it was a four course dinner well planned, candles were lit with with fancy napkins and wine glasses. The table was nicely decorated and seemed as if his mother took out the best plates that she had just tonight.
"Wow! This is pretty"
"Yes all this for curry chicken" He said.
Thinking about it made me laugh. "She is something else and fancy lady"
He kissed my hand, "My mom felt like being fancy" He said.
It warmed my heart so much to see that he was loved by someone and despite all he endured as a child, he became this wonderful person. He didn't allow his past trauma to impact his life in a negative way.
"Marisa, oh you are so beautiful"
A lady emerged from the kitchen with her arms wide open. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a warm motherly embrace.
"Hi"
I made sure to hug her just as tight.
She looked at me and again like a proud mother. I looked at Aaron and he was all smiles.
"Marissa this is my mother Janice Lions, mommy this is Marisa Jackson one of the best thing that ever happened to me"
Lord I was blushing infront this man's mother, he had my heart doing cartwheels inside my chest.
"Come sit down my dear, I have so much I want to tell you" she said.
"Calm down mommy, take it slow please" Aaron said to her.
They exchanged a war with their eyes which made me laugh because I knew it was pure love.
"Don't listen to him Marisa he doesn't like when I talk about him to anyone but he has to understand that I am so proud of him and have to let everyone know" She said.
I took Aaron's hand into mind to make him know that I was ok.
"I understand I'm proud of him also" I replied.
We sat down to eat and his mother started telling the stories instantly, she couldn't wait to brag about him.
"You know Marisa Aaron didn't always wanted to be an actor he actually wanted to be an Astronaut"
I looked at him. "An astronaut?"
He was smiling but he looked embarrassed.
"Yes, mi haffi tell the bwoy deh nothing nuh deh outta space and him better guh take up a book"
I started laughing.
"And if I was serious about being an Astronaut she would have let me" Aaron said.
I believed that so much from the way she spoke of him.
"I would have let him because I know he would have made a good one and he would make me proud just the same" She said.
The way she looks at him when she spoke of him tells me I have big shoes to fill. It's easy to tell that he was her all.
"I love the relationship you both have, I can see where he gets all this love from" I said.
He kissed my hand.
"I gave him all the love I have, even when I thought I couldn't I fought to do it because he was my saviour, God blessed me with him" She said.
