Ashley's POV:
"ASHLEY!" you hear a voice call from the other side of the bar. "PAY ATTENTION, WE'VE GOT CUSTOMERS!" You realize you were daydreaming. There were a few customers sitting at the bar waiting for you to come take their order. After you give them their meals and drinks, you notice someone had walked in with a guitar case heading toward the stage. It's been such a long day that you almost forgot that someone was coming in to perform later that night. It's five thirty and they are getting ready for sound check. The guy had dark, short hair and he looked about 30. He was tall and his outfit was all the same color. He was new to Nashville. You've never seen or heard of him before.

It was about seven and there was barely any customers. The guy who came for sound check earlier was about to perform. You watched as he grabbed his guitar and walked to the microphone. "Hey, my name is Sam Hunt. This is a song I wrote, I hope y'all like it." He said. He seemed to have a lot of confidence.

"I don't wanna steal your freedom, I don't wanna change your mind, I don't have to make you love me, I just wanna take your time."

You watched his performance and he was really talented. "I wish I had that much confidence." You think to yourself thinking about your dream of becoming a musician. You see Sam walk over to the bar. "Hey." He says as he sits at a stool infront of you. "Hi." You say shyly. You made eye contact then you quickly looked away. "So, do you have any hobbies or anything?" He ask trying to keep the conversation going. "Well, I play guitar and piano." You say awkwardly. You hope he doesn't ask you to play for him. "Cool!" He says. "I really enjoy music, it's like another world, another dimension." The two of you continue to talk about music. You look at the clock. It's 8:30. "I really enjoyed talking with you, but I have to go." You say hoping that he'd ask for your number. "Maybe we could do it again sometime." He says writing his number on a napkin and handing it to you. "Yeah, that'd be great." You reply.

About a month later, you and Sam have become friends and you're on your way to his house. You knock on his door and you hear footsteps coming toward the door. "Hey!" Sam says as he opens the door. "I have something to show you." He says with an excited tone. He turns the radio on to the country station and walks over to the table. "Look at this." He says with a grin on his face. As you open the envelope, your heart feels like it's about to beat out of your chest. You know that Sam has been to a couple meetings for record deals. You pull out the paper and unfold it. At the top it says "CONGRATULATIONS SAM!" You gasp in excitement, Sam got a record deal with Vevo. You look up at Sam and he has a huge grin on his face. You are so excited you don't realize that you and Sam have been hugging for almost three minutes. You back up and shyly move your hair out of your face.

It's silent for about a minute and then you hear Sam's song on the radio. "SAM!!!! YOUR SONG IS PLAYING!!!!!!" You both are jamming along with his song. "Haha, it's like a house party." You say as you both continue to jam to the song. Sam stops, and his smile widens. "I'll be right back." He says as he runs up the stairs.

About a minute later, he comes back down and sits next to you on the couch. His cat, Dandelion, comes and sits on your lap. "So, why did you run upstairs?" You ask curiously. "No reason." He says smiling. "Ok... whatever you say..." You say with a laugh. It's about time to leave, you're still curious about why Sam is so secretive about why he ran upstairs. What could it be? You can't stop wondering what it could be.
