Hashirama

"Anika, wake up! Momma made breakfast for us"! My little sister Inuama yelled as she shook me over and over. "Five more minutes". I groaned pulling the covers over my head. "No! Get up now, Nii San and I aren't eating breakfast without you"! She was now jumping on top of me.

"Alright alright. I'm up, I'm up". She smiled as I uncovered my head to look at her. "Your lucky your cute". "I love you too". I climbed out of bed and placed her on my back as I headed towards the kitchen. Once there I let her down gently and went take my seat next to my younger brother Tobirama, Inuama sat next to him as well.

"Morning Tobi, momma". "Morning my love". She placed my plate in front of me before kissing my forehead. "Where's dad"? I asked before taking a bite. "Your fathers working". She said sitting down to eat with us.

"But he said he would do my hair this morning". Inuama complained. "It's ok Inu, I'll do it for you if you want". "But he promised me". "I know sweetheart but your father has been very busy lately". "That's no excuse". Tobirama said looking down into his plate.

I looked at him sadly. "I know the two of you were looking forward to spending time with your dad today but you must understand that everything he's doing is to protect us. He just returned home from a very dangerous battle".

When are you going to stop making excuses for him? It's not fair to us or you

"Then wouldn't it make more sense for him to rest instead of work"? I asked challenging what she just said. "You know how much of a workaholic your father is Hashirama". I said nothing else, all it would do is make Tobirama and Inuama more upset and I didn't want that.

After breakfast was over I took Inuama to my room and did her hair for her. I brushed most of it to the side only leaving her bangs. I brushed my fingers through her hair making sure everything was straight and even before I started braiding.

"I don't even know why you wanted dad to do your hair, you know Tobi and I are the only ones that do it right". "I know. I just thought it would be something fun that we could do together. You and Nii San never complain about doing it".

"True but if I'm being honest dad doesn't really know how to do hair. Mom was the one that always took care of my hair when I was younger. I asked her to teach me then started doing Tobirama's hair and thought him as well. All dad does to his hair is wash it when he needs to and brushes it".

"I see". I kissed her head. Inuama was five years younger than me. Since her birth, she has been trying her best to get our father to spend time with her but he never does. Tobirama was the same way but he eventually stopped trying.

As a result, the two of them attached themselves to me and our mother. I hate to admit it but the only one our father shows any interest in is me. I don't have the slightest idea why that is. I've tried plenty of times to get him to let them come with us each time we go somewhere but he never does.

"Aniki". "Hm"? "Does daddy hate me and Tobi Nii"? "Of course not". "Then why doesn't he ever want to spend time with us"? "I don't know but what I do know is that he does love you both. He just has a different way of showing it".

"What if you're wrong"? "Then I'll just continue doing what I've been a doin. I'll give you the support and love he can't". I finished by tying a hair tie to the bottom of the braid. I gave her a mirror, and a beautiful smile appeared on her face as she looked at the over-the-shoulder fishtail braid I did.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you"! She turned around hugging my neck tight. I hugged her back. "Your welcome Inu".

"Hashirama! Where are you"!? My father called. I looked down at Inu and noticed her whole demeanor change. "Why don't you go hang out with Ryuko? I know seeing her always makes you smile. Her eyes smiled as she looked up at me.

Ryucko has been Inuama's best friend for as long as I can remember. The two of them are always spending their free time together but none of us knows her last name. I don't necessarily care what her full name is, just as long as my little sisters happy.

"I'll be home later". She smiled at me before leaving out of my window. I stood up and made my way over to where my father was. His face and demeanor was nothing but seriousness as I made my way to and stood in front of him.

"Yes, father"?

"How is your training coming along"? "I'm doing just fine".

No thanks to you.

"Your studies"? "Those are going fine as well". "Anything you don't understand"? "No sir".

That wasn't true there was something that had been troubling me for a while now but I would never tell him that.

Madara

I jumped back dodging the fire blast that was aiming right at me. When that didn't work she shot a few fireballs at me. I blocked using the training sword I had.  My little sister Ryuko was only five but she was already one of the strongest kunoichi our clan had.

I was immensely proud of her and always encouraged her to keep up her training. Fire wasn't the only element she was able to use, however.

"Lightning style, electric shockwave"! Multiple electric blasts came flying towards me. I used my sword to block those as well. "Fire style, fireball jutsu"! I breathed out a large blast of fire but she was able to dodge it successfully.

One of her clones tried to sneak up on me but I was quickly able to get rid of it by striking it with my sword. When I looked back at her she was smiling from ear to ear. I loved seeing that smile on her face. She and my younger brothers are the only things I care about most in this world.

"Alright, that's enough you two". Our mother said making her way out onto the back porch. "But mom". "Don't but mom me. Inuama came a long way to see you". If looks could kill. Ryuko gave our mother a are you serious look.

"Why didn't you lead with that"? I chuckled softly as she ran into the house to see her best friend. The house would be filled with giggles and laughter soon enough. "There's another reason I came out here". She said as I went to put my sword away.

"Your father wishes to speak with you". "Yes, mother".

I made my way to his office right away. I knocked on his door and sat down in front of him after getting the ok. "How was training"? His voice was soft as he spoke filled to the brim with nothing but love.  "It went well. Ryuko just keeps getting stronger with each passing day. So far Izuna and I are the only ones that can keep up with her". I said proudly.

"That's good. I need to tell you something but you have to promise me something before I do". His voice was different now. It became deeper and held a more serious tone to it. My father Tajima was a powerful shinobi that was well respected and feared by his enemies.

Whatever he was about to ask me didn't give me any indication about rather it would be good or not but there was absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for him. "Anything". "No matter what happens always protect your younger siblings". "I promise".

"Good now on to the matter at hand". He placed a word on top his desk. It's seath was decorated in black and gold and curved slightly upwards towards the top. "Unseath it". I picked it up and did as told. The handle was made of gold with a red diamond embedded into it but along the blade was some kind of a red pattern.

"It's name is E Ming. It used to belong to a man named Hua Cheng". "You mean The Crimson Rain Sought Flower Hua Cheng"? "I see your familiar with him". "No not really. His name just sounds interesting".

"Interesting enough for you to look into him more"? "I get the feeling there's something your not telling me father". "It's not my place to tell you. I'm only supposed to guide you in the right direction". "Must you always be so vague"? "Don't act like you don't enjoy playing detective". He smiled.

I held it up to the light continuing to admire it. "How long have you known about this"? "Awhile". "Why tell me now". Because I needed you to master using a sword first".

I stood up and bowed to him. "I won't let you down, father".
