Brer Rabbit approached Jeremy who sat sadly by the Briar Patch with his face in his hands.

"Brer Jeremy? I's sorry I locked ya in de meat lockah" said Brer Rabbit sincerely.

"You should be. My poor hands are still defrosting" said Jeremy.

"Okay, I understands if ya wants ter gimme de cold shoulder" Brer Rabbit joked.

Jeremy looked at him with a serious face.

"Sorry. Too soon?" said Brer Rabbit.

Jeremy sighed deeply. "Oh, it's all just so terrible. I can't stand that I hurt Patty's feelings. But trying to talk about my emotions just frightens me."

"I hates talkin' 'bout my emotions too. Even talkin' 'bout yo' emotions is makin' me queasy" said Brer Rabbit.

"I really want to tell Patty I love her, but I just don't know how" said Jeremy.

"Well, yo' songs is always full o' emotion. Likes de one about de colorin' book. Why don'tcha sing 'er a song?" said Brer Rabbit.

"I know what you're doing. You're just trying to get me to sing so you can make your film and get good reviews" said Jeremy.

"I promises dat ain't true. I really does care 'bout you an' Sis Patty" said Brer Rabbit.

"You really do, eh?" said Jeremy.

"Show I does" said Brer Rabbit.

"Then... perhaps I could tell Patty how I feel in a song. That is, as soon as my fingers thaw out" said Jeremy.

"I'll go getcha doze rat mittens" said Brer Rabbit.
