One day a man was greeted by a temptress

Her smile was bewitching but her eyes were cold

He followed her silky voice, under a spell of jealousy and hunger

He eagerly fell into her arms

Though her beauty rivaled no other, her whispers of hate hurt him

He fought her tight grasp and fled from her company

That night he received a note that held the temptress's name

Envy

One day the poor man met a temptress

Her smile shy and her eyes light

She silently beckoned him forward with a gentle movement

He hesitated for a what felt like forever while her gaze never wavered

He reached out for her and was kindly swept into her embrace

Each time she would disappear, though she would return and draw him in once more

As he leaned into her once again, he knew who this temptress was

Trust

One day the tired man found a temptress at his door

Her smile welcoming and her eyes filled with hope

Out of fear for what may come, he ignored her gentle whispers

Each day she would return, each day he sent her away

Her sweetness remained as he became bitter

Soon the man gave into her beckoning

With closed eyes, he layed softly into her arms

The temptress smiled and whispered her name into his ear, he relaxed in return
