What's The Good Without The Bad

I loved with a love that nearly consumed me.
I cherished every memory, every moment.
Though, love hasn't been what I hoped it would be.
It has been painful, it has been sad.
It has caused me great sorrow and exceeding joy.
But, what's the good without the bad?
