David drove in silence. He tried to forget what Brooke said to him earlier, but it was stuck in his mind. Maria sat still in her seat, picking at her nails and looking at Brooke with a look of disgrace. Brooke was the first to interrupt the silence.

"I see you both are holding something back. You both aren't telling me something." Brooke said, looking directly into Maria's dark brown eyes.
"I know you both aren't cousins. It was a pretty obvious giveaway because David doesn't have any relatives that are alive."

Maria looked at David. She whispered to him,

"You could of told me that sooner! Now your supposably "girlfriend" knows something is going on. "

"I didn't know that.."

David was interrupted by a jerking movement as the whole car stopped. Somebody hit them. Maria quickly glanced back and yelled,

"It's them! The ones who stole the key. The ones who are after us! DRIVE!" Maria shouted as she looked at David with an eye of nervousness.

David pressed on the gas and the car started to move again. He drove faster and faster every time the car got near them.

"Turn a left here. After that turn a right." Maria said, looking more concentrated then nervous.

David followed Maria's instructions. While David continued driving, Maria glanced back at Brooke.

"I need you to be useful and throw these out the window. Try to aim for their windshield of you could." Maria instructed while handing over a few golfballs to Brooke.

Brooke knew that she probably had no choice but to listen to Maria's instructions. She rolled down the window of David's vintage car and started aiming for the windshield of the car following them. Brooke threw the first golfball. It hit the bottom right of the windshield, where the drivers chest would be.

"Nice hit!" Maria smiled as she put her hand out for a high five.

Brooke glanced at Maria, smirked and then high-five'd her.

"I see you two are getting along well.. but please focus on the real problem at occurring currently" David said in a voice that couldn't be explained. The voice David use was so neutral, it was like for those few seconds, he had no emotion.

Brooke continued through golfballs, improving her aim every throw. When Brooke came to her last golfballs, she had to make the impossible to stop them. Brooke grabbed a golf ball, threw it with all her strength, and hit the driver next to his Adam's apple. The car swerved off the road and hit a parking meter.

"Score!" Brooke yelled bright fully.

David smiled and laughed. "You look a little to happy for killing three men." It was like David forgot everything Brooke said before. He was back to his normal self.

"Well.. they deserved it. Right?" Brooke said, looking directly at Maria.

"Umm... Well, you see... This kind of made matters worse. I was expecting that you would just flatten a tire or something less violent. It's going to be a little harder to get the key now but.."

Brooke intruded in Maria's talking.

"Sorry to interrupt, but what is this key that these people have, and why are they following us."

Maria laid her hand on her face again and said softly, "I guess you already know a lot about the mission, so I should tell you about the full story. I will also tell you both more about the key after I explain to you what is happening." She said while pointing at Brooke.

"The key, originally owned by Lenore Lee, was given to her eldest grandchild. The reason David used to own is, was because he was the only grandchild she ever had. Yesterday, the key was stolen by the biggest enemy the H.A have ever faced. The reason they want the key is because the key unlocks a special door. Nobody knows where this door is currently. That is the reason I came to talk to you this morning David. You are supposably the only one who knows any other information about this key."

Brooke and David both stared.

"Turn a left here and then keep on going straight for about a mile. Stop when you pass the 5th stop light you see." Maria said nodding.

"I have a few questions. What is the H.A and why did those people want David if they already have the key. Also, how many people know about this key." Brooke said, fascinated.

"The H.A is a group. The group consists of myself and Rick. It stands for Hitman Association. It is a work in progress name. The reason why they were following us was because nobody knows David has no use to the mission. They don't know that he didn't even know there was a key in the jewelry box it was hidden in. Lastly, only a small group of people know about the key, and it should stay that way."

"We passed the 5th light." David said.

Maria pointed at a brick apartment complex. Well, at least that's what it looked like from the outside.

"Stop there."

David parked near the building and all three of them walked to the door of the building. It was a thick, metal door with a little window on it. Maria pressed the doorbell and a voice came from the speaker.

"It's open." A man's voice said.
