He was moving in to his new house today. He was rather excited. His new house was a two story with a standard paint job.

It was plain and when the decorations for the Open House were cleared it was bare. Perfect for him to make it his own.

He was in the army once; his memories are bit fuzzy but that doesn't matter. He wasn't allowed active duty anymore.

Not unless he passed the mental evaluation he has to take every two years or if his therapist give him a clean bill of health. Maybe if the situation was dire enough they'd let him go back?

Whatever they thought was wrong with him didn't matter at the moment.

He parked his truck into the driveway and stepped out. The bed of his truck was full of his clothes and a few other items. A moving van will be here tomorrow with the rest of his stuff.

He already got the keys from the realtor and started heading inside with two briefcases. He set them down and looked around the empty living room. It was decently sized.

He smiled and began to pack the rest into the house.

Later while he was eating a sandwich on the floor and drinking a bottle of water, he got a phone call.

The real estate agent wants him to come into the office- he had lost the papers to a turtle somehow.

He did his best not to groan. This realtor was not very sharp. He will have to go to a different real estate agency next time and he's sure there may be a next time.

He doesn't stay in one place for long, even if he wasn't going back any time soon; as an out-of-duty veteran he had to look for work else where in a time of peace.

He found an application for the local library. It's a nice and quiet place to spend time at when he's not in therapy.

She watched the new resident from the doorway. She was curious, but also very confused. She felt her quills tense up without her permission every time he turned his head in her direction.

Something about this bear had her on edge.

She was dead and yet she kept her distance.

"Why does this man terrify me? He hasn't done anything and he has no idea I'm here

"Why does this man terrify me? He hasn't done anything and he has no idea I'm here....", she thought with great confusion.

She noticed him walking towards the door. She backed up and watched him stop at the door. She tilted her head and stared at him with a small pout.

She watched him walk in the opposite direction. It took her a moment, but she decided to follow him.

Down the line from here, she will have regrets about getting close to this man and her curiosity towards him.
