Wei Wuxian is was roaming the grounds of Cloud Recesses and it was past curfew. As he was walking, he heard a noise from the treasury. He ran over and saw Lan Wangji standing in the middle of the room. Wuxian quickly ran away to get Zewu Jun.

"Zewu Jun, Wake up!" He yelled.

"A'Xian, what do you want?" He asked angrily as he was disturbed from his sleep.

"Lan Zhan!" Wuxian pointed.

Zewu Jun immediately shot out of bed, "take me to him," he said.

Wuxian took him back to the treasury, only to see Wangji pressing a hot iron to his chest. Wuxian acted immediately and kicked it out of his hand.

"Wangji?!" Zewu Jun yelled.

Lan Wangji was drunk and had passed out. Zewu Jun was going to lash out at Wei Wuxian again but withheld when he saw Wuxian exhaust so much of his energy to help heal the wounds on Wangji's chest. It was scarred over but it was sensitive to the touch. Zewu Jun saw the guilt in Wei Wuxian's eyes before Wuxian disappeared.

Zewu Jun took Wangji back to bed and stayed with him for the rest of the night. Wei Wuxian knew that this was just his punishment. To be hated and scolded as always. He kept his spirit away and hid in the back hills where the bunnies were. Zewu Jun actually saw him sitting there in the morning. The transparent silhouette of Wei Wuxian's figure, hugging his knees to his chest and crying to his hearts content.

"Always my fault," Wuxian sobbed.

Zewu Jun felt terrible. One part of him wanted to hate and scold Wei Wuxian for doing this to his brother, creating all this unnecessary chaos and mess. The other part of him knew that this was not on Wei Wuxian at all. All that he wanted was to help those he cared about and the innocent. Zewu Jun used to say that the Lan Sect prides itself on equality and helping everyone. When Wei Wuxian was lost and hurting the most, they sided with the majority and pushed the man to kill himself after he lost everything, including his sanity.

"A'Xian?" Zewu Jun asked calmly.

Wei Wuxian stood up fast and whipped the tears from his face before taking several steps back from Zewu Jun, "I am sorry, I will get out of your way."

"Please do not go," Zewu Jun begged.

"Why?" Wuxian asked, "I am stuck here. I am being punished for my crimes by watching the man I love so much suffer and pretty much close to ending his life. You have no idea what it's like to lose everything. Three different families, three different so called homes, I gave up my cultivation just so my sworn brother would not suffer, and I watched my Shijie die before my eyes. All of this happened because of me."

"All of this happened because the sects neglected their duty to help you properly," Zewu Jun said, "when I saw you back in Yunmeng, and the things I said to you, I am so very sorry. You are actually a really good person, A'Xian. I am sorry it took me so long to really see that. And about last night, you actually helped out a lot. It could have potentially been a lot worse but you helped. I am forever grateful for that."

Wuxian shook his head, "I do not deserve your apology, or forgiveness. I do not deserve anything."

Zewu Jun sighed and looked at the rabbits, "can you turn into a rabbit or take over as one?" He asked.

"You mean possess one? Yes why?" He asked.

"Play out as a bunny and stay by Wangji's side. Maybe one day we can figure out how to bring you back to him. Until then, be his spiritual pet bunny," Zewu Jun suggested, "it might do some good."

Wei Wuxian looked at the only black bunny in the bunch and teleported his spirit into it. He then hopped over to Zewu Jun, allowing him to pick him up.

"Good bunny," Zewu Jun said, "I also want to show you something."

Okay, Wei Wuxian projected his thoughts to Zewu Jun.

Zewu Jun then took little bunny Wuxian to the infirmary to one of the rooms. In the room, there was a little boy laying there.

Wei Wuxian turned back into a spirit for a moment, "A'Yuan?" He asked.

"Wangji found him at the burial mounds. He kept others from entering your cave which was where he was found. He kept others from finding A'Yuan, and he was seriously ill. Wangji fought his own people to keep people away from the boy. He then brought him back here and adopted him as his son, Lan Yuan, Lan Sizhui," Zewu Jun said.

"The whipping, it was because he fought to protect A'Yuan? How many people and how many whips?" Wuxian asked.

"Thirty-three whips as he hurt thirty-three elders, but he only had half of those because of you. You said you stopped the whipping by shoving Shufu away and burning the whip," Zewu Jun said.

"I also pushed those people away from you and removed the silence spell, I used a lot of energy to help you both," Wuxian said, "and I would do it again."

"I want to thank you for that, and apologize for what I said when I first saw you," Zewu Jun said, "and with A'Yuan, he had a terrible fever and lost some memories. I am not sure if he will remember you."

"I am okay with that, as long as he is safe and healthy," Wuxian said, "he is a sweet boy."

"I can tell, when Wangji brought him, I knew that those who were staying at the mounds with you were more than likely not what everyone else said they were. Why would they have a child there?" Zewu Jun explained.

"Wen Qing's cousin has him, and he had an older sister maybe two years older than him, but she died along with A'Yuan's real parents. When we were in the mounds, as food was hard to come by, I'd usually give him my food. Wen Qing would scold me for it but I told her he was so young and needed the nutrients to grow. I grew up on the streets for a few years so I knew how to handle hunger," Wuxian explained.

"A'Xian, if it is alright, I'd love to know more about you, see how you got my brother to fall for you so easily," Zewu Jun said.

Wuxian giggled, "sure," he said, "we should probably go check on Lan Zhan first."

"I agree," Zewu Jun said, "and I have decided to stay with him until he can get back up on his feet."

Wuxian nodded before going back to being the little black bunny in Zewu Jun's arms. Zewu Jun smiled and carried the little bunny over to the Jingshi and placed him down beside Wangji on the bed.

"What are you doing?" Wangji asked.

"I thought you could use some company," Zewu Jun told him.

Little Bunny Wuxian curled up into the crook of Wangji's neck. Lan Wangji found himself leaning his head gently against the little bunny. Wuxian felt content being so close to Wangji.
