Part 4

Wei Wuxian spent the next five years gaining a new golden core and cultivating into immortality. He was sure that with his new abilities, he would have a fresh start. He would go by a new identity as Ying Sanren and would wear a mask anytime he was out of Baoshan's barrier. She allowed him to come and go as he pleased because he had Sanren blood. Only the blood of a Sanren could get through. Anyone else would have to make an exception.

Wei Wuxian used his newfound abilities to call upon Chenqing and Suibian, and now had his two weapons back. He placed a masking talisman on both of them to hide their appearance. Suibian was now black and silver instead of gold and red. His Chenqing was also red now. He was cleansed of resentment, along with Chenqing and he can control the elements. There were other things he could do, but he had plans.

His first plan, giving Zewu Jun a piece of his mind. Without a care in the world, Wei Wuxian teleported right into the Hanshi. Zewu Jun was sitting alone at his table reading letters and drinking tea. He nearly jumped out of his skin when Wei Wuxian appeared. With a snap of Wuxian's fingers, Zewu Jun could not move, just talk.

"So, did you have fun messing with Hanguang Jun's memory? Erasing everything about me from his mind?" Wei Wuxian asked as he removed his mask.

"I thought I told you to never return here, and how are you alive?" He asked.

"I found my grandmother and grandmaster Baoshan Sanren. She helped me get back up on my feet, even cultivated to immortality. I am so much stronger now than I have ever been," Wei Wuxian said.

"Huan Ge?" Lan Wangji asked as he entered. After shutting the door, Wei Wuxian snapped his fingers again making Lan Wangji freeze in his place, "who are you?"

"Oh, you will know soon enough," Wei Wuxian said.

"Don't do it, A'Xian!" Zewu Jun said.

"Why? I think Hanguang Jun deserves to remember how big of a mistake he made meeting me," Wuxian said and placed two fingers on Wangji's temple. He then sent energy over and removed memory erase spell. It didn't erase his memories, as it was always stored in his subconscious. The spell just pushed the memory away and kept it from having Wangji think of them. Now he thought of them and everything came flooding back to him, "Welcome back to the world of pain and misery, Hanguang Jun."

"Wei—Wei Ying?" He asked, "you're...alive?"

"Of course, and your dear GeGe had known a lot about me for a while. He erased your memories of me to try and remove your pain. Let me tell you, I was a spirit when I watch you take whips from your uncle. I was a spirit when Zewu Jun said I was your biggest mistake. I was in so much pain that even after knowing the truth about why I never used a sword again, he still drove me out," Wei Wuxian explained.

"Xiongzhang, what is he talking about?" Wangji asked.

"Wangji, I only did it to protect you," Xichen said.

"Protect me by keeping things from me? By removing my memories?" Wangji asked, he then looked at Wuxian, "why did you give up your sword?"

"Back then, Wen Zhuliu crushed Jiang Cheng's golden core. Wen Qing helped him by transferring my golden core over to him. I was awake for two nights and a day, no anesthetics, fifty percent chance of it being successful, and being cut open. I felt it all, that power leaving my body little by little until poof, all gone. I then told him I was captured by Wen Chao a few days after that surgery and was tortured before being thrown into the burial mounds.

I learned a method just to keep myself alive. I pushed you away because I felt unworthy of you. I was useless and mediocre, and cultivated the ghost path. Your precious Gege knows this, and he didn't have to say anything but I could tell he has blamed me for everything that happened to you," Wei Wuxian explained. He then sat down and pour himself a cup of tea, "Waa, so much talking."

"Ge, why would you do that?" Wangji asked.

"Don't believe it all?" Wuxian asked, "let me show you."

Wei Wuxian waved his hand and a white cloud appeared. It showed them everything that had happened after the indoctrination. Up to the point where Wei Wuxian's spirit found his body.

"Do you still love me?" Wangji asked.

"Of course I do, but you and I both know that your family will not accept me," Wuxian said.

"Then I will leave Gusu," Wangji declared.

"Wangji!" Zewu Jun said.

"You can just shut up, Xiongzhang. You do not care about me or Wei Ying. All you care about is your A'Yao!" Wangji said, "Wei Ying, will you please give me a chance to prove myself to you?"

Wei Wuxian stood up and walked up to Wangji. He snapped his fingers to let Wangji move again. As soon as Wangji was free, he threw his arms around Wei Wuxian and kissed him. Wei Wuxian quickly grabbed onto the front of Wangji's robes to keep himself steady.

"Wei Ying," Wangji said after pulling away from the kiss.

"Hmm?"

"Removed the spell from Xiongzhang, and I will leave with you," Wangji said.

Wuxian watched as Wangji removed his forehead ribbon and his Lan Sect heir robes. Wei Wuxian hovered his hand over a Qiankun bracelet and pulled out a fresh set of robes for Wangji to wear. They were simple enough, just black robes with gold accents. Same as Wei Wuxian's.

"I will release him, I have yet to clear my name though," Wuxian said.

"I will help you," Wangji said.

Wei Wuxian let Zewu Jun go. Before he could say anything, Wangji and Wei Wuxian disappeared from the Hanshi. Wei Wuxian teleported them back to Baoshan's place.

"A'Ying, welcome home, and you got your soulmate back," Baoshan said.

"Wai Po," Wuxian said and lead Wangji over to her, "this is Lan Zhan."

Lan Wangji bowed, "it's a pleasure to meet you."

"I can definitely see why A'Ying fell for you," Baoshan said, "I have everything set at the shrine for you."

"Huh?" Wuxian asked.

"You two can wait until you are both ready but you two are more than welcome to elope. Once you dual cultivate, Wangji will gain his immortality by bonding with you," Baoshan explained.

Wuxian looked at Wangji, "do you want to or do you want to wait?"

"I will do it if you will take me," Wangji told him.

Wei Wuxian nodded. The two ended up eloping and dual cultivating that night.

It took another three years before they found the truth behind what really happened. Jin Guangyao planned everything, which included Su MinShan and Xue Yang. Zewu Jun ended up in seclusion due to his inability to make the right decisions, and trusted the wrong people. He lost the trust in his Didi because of it. Wangji eventually managed to sit down with him and talk things out, and Zewu Jun even wholeheartedly apologized to Wei Wuxian.

Lan Qiren was not happy that Lan Wangji had left the sect, but he could not control what his nephew does. He tried that in the past and it just ended up backfiring on him.

So, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji mostly stayed with Baoshan. They would occasionally travel around for night hunts, and it was mostly to have some private time. Though they did not mind the company at Baoshan's.
