It all starts and ends here.

June 30th"Do I really have to stay?" I complained, trying to free myself from Hoseok's grasp as a way to keep me from escaping their apartment. Jungkook just laughed and jumped on the couch, pouring himself and Jiwon a drink on the coffee table.
"Come on, it's still Jiwon's birthday today, and yours is only ten minutes away," Jungkook said, handing the younger girl her glass before taking a sip from his own. "You are required to stay."
"Who are you, my dad?" I huffed, finally ripping away from Hoseok's arms to glare at him. "I'm tired. I haven't slept in like two days."
"Well, go take a power nap and when it's your birthday, we'll wake you up so we can party!" Jimin smiled, walking into the living room from behind me, his hand grazing over my lower back for a second. I swatted his hand away, leaning my body against the wall so no one else could touch me.
"I'd rather just leave," I muttered, scratching the side of my head.
"God, you're no fun," Hoseok grumbled, taking a seat across from Jungkook and Jiwon.
"Come on, please stay," Jiwon begged, flashing her best pleading eyes. "For me?"
I glanced at the clock on the wall, tightening my eyebrows as numerous thoughts ran through my head.
11:52 PM.
I could just spend the night and go when everyone is asleep. After all, I'd been torturing myself long enough being around them for so long without revealing the truth. It was inevitable that I had to disappear and cut them off. As unfortunate as it was to do it on my birthday, this seemed like the best chance to get all of them together for the last time before leaving. And this time, I would leave for good. I wouldn't repeat the same mistake.
The rest of the group finally joined us, carrying with them their drinks and snacks, squeezing onto the couches and chairs together. Namjoon already looked pretty tipsy, but that didn't stop him from giving us his annoying philosophy lessons as he always did. Taehyung had laid down on Seokjin, resting his head on the older man's lap. Meanwhile, Hayeong sat on the far edge of the couch, next to Taehyung and Jin.
Hayeong's eyes met with mine for a moment, and we both smiled slightly at each other before I spoke up.
"Where's Yoongi?" I asked, everyone shrugging except for Hayeong.
"His room. He might be sleeping, though," Hayeong said, leaning back to look down the hallway where his bedroom was. "Maybe you should check up on him."
"Why me?"
"Hey, I'm not his girlfriend anymore. It's not my job." Hayeong laughed, raising her hands in defense.
