Kyle's POV:
I wake up, only to realize that I got up before my alarm rang. I have to clean up the mess from last night, though. The spare time is helpful, I guess.
I shuffle around, trying to leave without waking Clyde or Bebe up. I go to restart my alarm as usual, but then I realize that I didn't wake up before my alarm. I woke up after it already rung. Shit.
First period already started, dude! Oh, I'm gonna get it now. If the school calls my mom to inform her about my absence, I'll have to expect a call with her ranting.
She'll give me some lecture about how being absent can have a huge effect on my record, and I'd rather not deal with that this early in the morning. Why does school have to start so fucking early?
I run around and quickly change into my orange coat, along with my green hat. My hair's messy because of Clyde and Bebe playing with it all night yesterday, but it's still bouncy somehow. Curly hair perks maybe? Well, I wasn't planning on showing it anyway.
Since I ran around doing all that, I finished getting ready in about 5 minutes. Bebe and Clyde definitely aren't gonna get ready that fast, meaning the sooner I wake them up, the better.
Right as I slip my shoes on, I yell at them to wake up. I kind of predicted that they'd stay the night, but I did not expect THIS disaster to happen.
I go downstairs and heat up pancakes, adding chocolate chips, maple syrup, and butter.
In perfect timing, Bebe and Clyde come running downstairs, visibly excited. They both love pancakes. Even BEBE cant resist them.
"Hurry up, you guys. We're already an hour late for school," I say as I sit down.
"Okay, mom," Clyde and Bebe reply at the same time.
"'B: Jinx!'
'C: Double jinx!'
'B: Triple jinx!'
'C: Quatriple jinx!'
'B: That isn't even a word!'
'C: Shut up!'
'K: Stop yelling.'
'C&B: Kay' mom.'
'K: Come on, guys. I'm not Tolkien, I just don't want you to starve.'
'C&B: Sure, mom.'
'K: Shut up and eat your pancakes. Actually, let's go. Eat them in the car.'
'C&B: Okay, mo-'
'K: Shut up.'"
Time skip:
—Right as we arrive at school, I check the time. Oh god, It's already lunch.
After we get our tardy slips and use the "we were at the hospital" excuse, we start heading towards the cafeteria.
"C: I'm not mentally prepared to face Tolkien's scolding."
Bebe and I burst into laughter as we enter the cafeteria after hearing Clyde say that. If I were Clyde, I wouldn't want to face Tolkien either.
"You guys wanna sit together right now and at break? Our friends are probably having a nice conversation already," I say.
"'C: Yes! Thank you!'
'B: Sure. My friends are probably talking about boys. Ew.'
'K: If you don't want them, I'll take them.'
'C: Bro, shut your gay ass up.'
'K: You should NOT be talking.'
'C: If anything, I'm the straightest out of the three of us.'
