Preface

This is a story of a girl, who cried a river and drowned the whole world.

Well, not literally. It is the story of a girl. Just a girl-and she did cry. She cried for reasons surreal and amazing and confusing and dangerous.

She couldn't prepare for it.

She couldn't stop it.

She fell in love.

When she was forcibly sent to the private all-girls boarding school in France, she wasn't that worried. She had arrogance that she carried, being an American. She knew she would stand out just because she was from a really hated country, because of that damn arrogance she carried. But she needed that arrogance to get her through two years of hell with the most vicious girls she has ever met.

She spoke French. She grew up speaking French since her mom and dad both spoke French and English whenever they talked to her. She understood the basis of the language and was mostly fluent in both to express her thoughts well enough and the slangs.

And besides, mostly everyone spoke English. Only the ruffians and the rebels spoke rough French.

Just a big school full of fake bitches-easy enough to get over. Two years wasn't that long.

"So, you're from America?" Thick accented French boys crowded around her afterschool after she tried to get to her dorm.

She shuffled around, evening out her weight by spreading her feet and bending her knees slightly. It was all very subtle and hidden since she hadn't altered her school skirt as it brushed below her knees.

"Yeah, what about it?" She couldn't help but tilt her chin up defiantly up at them. Even though majority of her gut was telling her to avoid a confrontation at all costs, there was this persistent small voice that whispered desirable and fun things she secretly wanted to do, like beat up a couple of punks who thinks that ambushing a little girl like her was for entertainment.

And she certainly wanted to make a name here before she left. She threw the first punch before he took his next step.
