Now that it was the first week of December, her maids had outdone themselves as they transformed it from chic and modern to a winter wonderland, courtesy of Aurora's mother who had phoned in, saying they needed to decorate the house because Aurora was going to spend Christmas there, rather begrudgingly. Her mother had wanted her in Milan, shopping her heart out with her dear mother but that would come after, in New Year's.

Aurora's mother had ordered a huge pine tree that the maids are currently hanging up ornaments. They had already placed gigantic decorative socks on top of the fireplace.

Her parents were spending a week in Prague then they were going to fly in to Milan later and had invited their daughter to join them but Aurora had declined saying that she wanted to spend Christmas in the States this year.

While Sienna and Skye continue to eavesdrop to Aurora and her mother's conversation, sucking on the peppermint candy canes that they also used to stir the heavenly hot chocolate that was prepared for them, Aurora pacing back and forth on the white marble floor arguing and pleading with her mother to stay during New Year's too, Skye had wandered over to an open box full of colored thin tissue paper and peeked in.

"Is that what I think it is?"

"Yes." Aurora groaned as she stood next to Skye, staring at the red cocktail dress she was suppose to wear at the New Year's party her aunt is hosting at Milan next week. Aurora was going to meet up with her parents there and her attempts to get out of the party resulted in zilch.

"Mum just sent me these along with a pair of deadly-stick-shoes. I think she has this psychic power where she knows I might wear sweats and Converse for the party." Aurora grumbled.

Sienna peeked in the box curiously but remained uninterested and returned to her phone.

Aurora suppressed the urge to scowl. Sienna had only been here because Skye didn't want her getting jealous because he was hanging out with a girl. Yup, she was just a girl. She couldn't help but feel misplaced, as if she hadn't been best friends with Skye for almost thirteen years? Somehow, she managed not to give their 'chaperone' a dirty look. Skye remained oblivious as usual.

"No, you're just predictable." Skye muttered as he gingerly lifted the dress out of the box and took a step back to full unravel the garment.

"I could just write thousands of sonnets about you're loveliness when you wear this dress." He had on a cheeky smile, one he learned from Aurora as he held the dress against her body. She didn't dare glance behind here where she was sure Sienna was glaring at her.

 "You suck at poetry."

"Well, you would like to suck..." He wigged his eyebrows up and down suggestively. She gasped mockingly. But yes, she would like to.

"You pervertedness is nauseating." Aurora pushed him roughly as he continued to press the red thing to her.

"Oh please. Don't pretend you don't have dirty thoughts about him."
