where are you?
home, she replied.
WHYY
Aurora chewed thoughtfully on her chips before replying back to Maverick/Jace. It was Maverick's phone but she knew that Jace wasn't that far from him. In fact, they were probably plastered side by side while their dates stood awkwardly around them.
because homecoming's lame
like you apparently
exactly
She had not gone to Homecoming this year, or the year before that. Not because no one asked her. Three did, but she just wasn't interested. She had vowed to herself not to go to any of the dance unless Darrel asked her, so basically she wouldn't be going to any of the dances ever. She wasn't that sad over it because she's not missing anything. The twins were keeping her up-to-date with everything going on like who was grinding on who, who broke up with who, who lost a shoe, that sort.
Besides, she was content to watch Halloween movies and eat chips and candy that was she was supposed to give out tonight. Her doorbell had been continuously wrung tonight but her maids had been in charge of giving away the candy so she didn't have to get up from her comfy spot on the floor of the living room. Anna and Louise had watched a couple of movies with her but now they were baking something in the kitchen. They had been taking turns opening the door.
are you at least going to Morel's party?
idk
there's gonna be booze
The twins had been pestering her to attend Zoe's Halloween Party which was actually just an after party of the Homecoming Dance.
is that suppose to convince me? my mother would love that.
yes your mother would. she wants you to be a normal person and go to parties and get drunk and have sex
Before she can reply, Maverick's voice echoed from the foyer.
"You're not getting off easily Rose!"
"Don't open that." She shrieked. Louise who had started for the door, stopped in her tracks. "It's a creep that bullies innocent girls."
She heard him rattling her door with his pounding fists.
"Go away! No candy for annoying people!" Aurora yelled at the closed door
"Anna, Louise, she's refusing to act her age and go to a party."
She cringed and tried not to look at her maids who were not probably looking at her with their puppy dog looks. They're always on her case about involving herself more in school. She was in the dance team. How much more school spirit does she need?
