She had to go to the hospital with the excuse that she tripped and knocked her mouth against the pavement, her teeth puncturing a hole in her lip. That was the excuse she typed groggily on her phone to give to Jace. Her maids came to the hospital, fussing and frantic. She had to type out her responses when her mother called.

She wondered how someone who was skinny as Sienna could hit her so hard her teeth went through her lip. She was deceptively strong for her appearance. It was a little freaky.

She refused to stay at home since it was only her lip was busted and the swelling had gone down and she could take pain meds if it bothered her, which it did. It was just difficult to talk and eat which was a complete pain.

She didn't know why but she was strangely shy of Darrel seeing her with her stupid lip. She was scarred and she didn't want him to see her at this state at all, or until the stitches went away and the scar wasn't as pronounced.

But she didn't need to worry. Strangely enough, she had never had a class with Darrel Mason. They were a small class that year. She was bound to run into him.

But she knew he was in football so she signed up to be in the dance team aka the drill team in a last ditch attempt at the start of the year of to somehow meet him and she could have a little chance of him, but fate seem to be a fickle thing since she never had a run in with him even if she attended every game he had as she had to. Or maybe she was just as invisible as she suspected herself to be.

She never even seems to have free time nowadays to spend with Skye since she couldn't stand around Sienna without a bunch of people herding her in another direction, thankfully. Her love for the twins grew. They always managed to keep her company while Skye was kept company by Sienna. It wasn't so bad anymore. She got even closer to them than ever before.

With her dance practices taking up majority of her afterschool, the twins hanging out with her at school sport games, homework pile up from her suicidal decision to have half honor classes and half AP, and doing other hobbies such as spare time photography session whenever she can, life was a great, life was a peach.

But the sleepy atmosphere of the school was broken.

It had all changed during Zoe Morel's Halloween party. Aurora has known Zoe since first grade and she had always been interested in Skye even till now. And somehow in middle school, something happened with Zoe and Sienna that turn all of Zoe's friends to hate Sienna, though they refused to say anything about the situation.

Aurora can just feel tense air whenever the two were ever near each other and everyone who was around them would wait for who would be the first one to throw the first punch. No one ever did, but they all hoped to see drama unfolding in front of them. Everyone began speculating what really happened between the two in middle school.

She didn't escape the spotlight. Everyone had heard of Sienna punching her hard enough that she needed to get stitches. Everyone was giving Sienna a wide berth now. But she could hardly care about that. She cared about how Skye started to hate Zoe when he didn't even know what happened between Zoe and Sienna.

Skye and Aurora had many uncountable fights before but every single one of them had been none too serious. But the argument about Zoe and Sienna almost reached that point.

"You don't even know jack shit about them so get your head out of your ass, Skye." Aurora had burst out from the amount of the times Skye muttering his theory that Zoe probably bullied Sienna and she's also threatening her not to talk about the situation.

"From how Sienna's acting, I have a pretty good idea what Zoe did."

"Oh please, just because Zoe's popular, you're going to pull that card? You know, that girl liked you all these years, God knows why, when you're dumb as a doorknob sometimes. Just because she's your girlfriend doesn't mean you get to butt in every one of her fights and conspire for her sake. She's a big girl. You don't see her crying over this. Why don't you wait until you got the story from her? I'm sure she's bound to tell you anyways since you are the love of her life. "

But Sienna didn't say one peep about it. She remained close lipped about it, as the rest of them were.

It didn't help the situation when Zoe appeared very friendly towards Aurora. Zoe had always been nice to Aurora and had always talked to her, even before the situation blew up. That fact was just greatly emphasized now and Aurora was unknowingly pulled into the drama too.

Sienna called Aurora on Sunday finally apologizing for accidentally hitting her.

"I know, you didn't mean it." Aurora mumbled, her lip swollen and her mood even worse. Her mother had been calling nonstop for the past thirty six hours, asking repetitive questions that were annoying the second time.

She still didn't forgive the girl. She was the one who was causing all these problems to pop up and she was being pulled along because of Skye, not that she minded it at any time but Skye was being an idiot, even more than usual and it was about this girl.

She hung up before Sienna spouted out any more of her bullshit apologies.

The doorbell rang, and she grumbled in the worst mood and went downstairs to see who was here. She was betting on the twins since they were right next door or at least Skye to maybe apologize for being an ass hat but when she saw a black spiky ink of hair, she couldn't contain her squeal of delight and waited patiently as Louis opened the door to let their visitor in.

"Jasper!" Smiling hurt but she couldn't care less.

"Rose, my lovely Rose!"

Jasper spun her around, laughing and grinning widely. He put her down and bent down to study her lip. "I heard about you getting into a fight."

"I didn't get into a fight." She huffed, sick and tired of the situation already.

"Your lip says differently. And Twitter."

She groaned. "So everyone knows?"

"Everyone. Plus some from other schools."

"Great."

"Everyone's mostly on your side."

"I don't want anyone on my side. I don't even have a side!" She threw up her hands in frustration.

"Okay, okay Switzerland. Or circle. Anyways, I'm kidnapping you for lunch."

"Yes please! I've been stuck here all day and the day before. I need to get out."

"Come on then. In-n-Out?"

Aurora just grinned toothily, or just as toothily as she could with her dumb lip. Jasper was a savior. Maybe things won't be as sucky anymore.
