"Don't get involved, Rose. Ivan's girl has friends on high places." Maverick was for once, serious and it was bucket of cold water over her head when she realized how bad it had gotten.
She had almost forgotten about the drama she left behind. She was still on Milan mode, Lucian mode, clothes mode.
She had just arrived from Milan yesterday and was rather trying to get used to the time zone when Maverick decided to visit her. She decided not to roll her eyes at him because he sounded rather grim and Maverick doesn't do grim. He does stupid and funny, but none of that serious stuff.
"What do you mean? She already got a boyfriend? But they haven't broken up yet." Was Sienna moving on already? Last time she checked with Skye, he was still an angst-ridden teenage boy more than normal because of the blonde emo chick.
Maverick's jaw hardened as if he was trying to stop himself from saying something. "It was sudden. I'm sure Sienna didn't plan on it happening."
Aurora furrowed her brows in confusion and a little bit of anger. "What, like love at first sight?" This was total bullshit. Sienna was a—-
"Don't think it." Maverick's voice had turned gravelly. It made her jump because she didn't think she would ever hear Maverick's scary voice, like Jace's back when her teeth went through her lip at Zoe's party.
"How the hell do you even know—"
"I know. Don't think it or you might say it out loud. I told you, Rose, Sienna has friends in high places now. Warn Skye. If you can't control him, we'll try to help you but I don't think it will be enough." Maverick mumbled the last part and she probably wasn't supposed to hear it.
"What is this?" Aurora sputtered out as soon as she entered Skye's Mustang.
"It's Gwar."
"It's crap music, that's what."
"Then why the hell did you even ask?"
"Ugh, I can't believe your listening to this— this!" Her arms flapped about as she tried to describe the screaming and the violent music that filled the tiny space. She fiddled with the CDs stuck on the storage box on the passenger seat
"Hey! What are you doing?!"
"Saving my eardrums." Grouplove's song, Tongue Tied came on.
"Take me to your best friend's house. I love you then and I love you now oh yeaaah." Aurora sang as she pretended to ignore Skye.
"My car, my stereo." He took out the CD in one hand and re-inserted his damn CD back in.
