the weather wasn't much shiny today

the weather wasn't much shiny today. the once sunlit sky had become the deep blueish colour. it wasn't much cloudy yet the sun was blocked. the chilly wind was passing every now and then just to hint everyone that the weather wouldn't change any sooner.

people who associate with newspapers or any news channel or had any link with weather reports were already prepared for this gloomy day.

but people like jisung were bothered by this uninvited change of meteorological conditions.

on top of that jisung hated this kind of change. the change that would only bring bad vibes. he actually hated everything that would bring bad vibes.

he was downstairs, scrolling through a shopping app out of boredom as he waited for his mom to come out of her bedroom so he can talk about something important.

when he heard the faint footsteps he looked up to see his mom coming out of the room in her office attire. she was wearing a knee length lavender coloured short sleeved dress, a buttercup yellow blazer hanging on her hand and a clutch.

anyone looking at her would say she's a business woman.

jisung put his phone down "mom, i am moving out to the dorm" he stated.

"alright" she checked her lipstick on the mirror at the doorstep for the last time as she took out her heels to put on.

jisung was used to it yet the unmindful behaviour of his mother pissed him off every time.

he got up and moved closer to his mom "don't you have anything else to say?"

"what else do you want me to say?" she looked up to face jisung with a confused face, as if she was genuinely not aware about what to say.

jisung's face twisted "mom!" he snapped at her.

"i will eat my breakfast outside" mrs. han declared as she turned on her heels to open the front door shrugging off jisung's sudden raise of voice. she went outside.

like it wasn't enough for jisung to scream at the top of his lungs, his mom peeked inside again after a mere second "oh and if you're moving out today then make sure to close the window to your bedroom or else it's gonna be a mess" she left jisung again.

the previous bitterness turned into misery. he realised how much of a burden he was to his mom. maybe it's better to actually move out of this house. away from her world.

he scurried up to his room upstairs, forgetting to get his buzzing phone from the dining table.

the call went cut again making sunghoon scratch the top of his nose in distress. it's the fourth call he had given jisung that again went unanswered. he didn't inform sunghoon the previous day about skipping school today.

he tried once more and the same thing happened. he put the phone inside his pocket and got up.

the classroom was almost empty, few students remaining to talk with each other about something sunghoon didn't want to know about.

his eyes went to jisung's empty seat, then it landed on the deskmate, lee minho. he was like usual, busy to organise his things so he could put them inside his backpack in a perfect order.

sunghoon walked up to the older "hey" he greeted with a small smile.

after getting notified by the blonde's presence minho glanced up briefly "hi" he replied shortly, getting back to put the pencil inside his backpack.

the younger waited for minho to finish, holding his bag straps.

soon the brunette finished and took steps forward, ready to leave the classroom "let's go together since our destination is same" sunghoon said, walking beside him.

this time the older looked up again, confused by the statement "huh?"

"yeah i am moving to the dorm today" sunghoon announced.

they took a turn in the hallway to get to the stairs.

"i got a msg about getting a roommate this morning" realisation hit minho as he remembered, walking down the stairs. his eyes focused on every step he took.

sunghoon's face lit up "really? does that mean we are roommates?"

this morning after shower minho got a notification from the dorm's official number that he could hope a roommate today. minho wasn't happy at all about it.

what if they are some nosy loud person? what if they don't let minho focus on his studies? what if they find problems in everything? what if they bring friends all the time? what if they steal minho's favourite window seat?

but if it's sunghoon then minho is more than fine with it. he found so many things similar with the blonde. they both were quite and liked to mind their own business. that was enough for minho to feel relived.

they went inside the dorm building "i think so" minho replied.

"oh by the way, do you know why jisung didn't come today? i tried to call him many times but he didn't pick up"

minho almost stopped on his track yet he kept his cool "dunno" he spoke with his flat toned voice.

sunghoon nodded and stopped in front of the staff room "i put my luggage here" he pointed inside "i was in a hurry this morning so yea" he explained and took out his bags.

"let me help you" minho tried to give a hand and took a bag from the blonde's hand.

they took the lift, that minho didn't quite like taking in a daily basis. though it was an exception for the heavy bags they were carrying.

it stopped on the third floor as minho lead the way to his room, the younger following behind.

the brunette stopped in front of his room and took the card out from his bag to open the door "room number 146" sunghoon read out loud, finally getting inside after minho.

he dropped his bag on the floor with a loud thud.

"welcome i guess" minho put the other bag on the unoccupied bed that was waiting for sunghoon. he walked off to his wardrobe to get some fresh clothes out that he could change into.

"thank you" sunghoon smiled and took out his phone just to recheck everything.

he read the msg again that he got last night but something caught his eyes "wait- but it says my room number is 147" he looked up to face minho.

minho also looked back, shrugging his shoulders as he let out "maybe that's a typo"

"no that's not cause your roommate is here"

the sudden voice and noise made both sunghoon and minho turn their heads toward the door, that was now wide open.

jisung with his broad daylight smile was standing there, holding a card high in the air in between his fingers. the exact same looking card that minho have for the room.

he threw a wink at minho.

the brunette felt helpless and hopeless. he threw his head backwards as a long sigh left his nose. the first sigh of the day "i'm done for" he muttered under his breath.
