REAL LIFE
Rue knocked on Pedro's door with tiramisu in one hand and a 6 pack of beer in the other. She wasn't wearing anything overly nice but it was definitely nicer than she'd normally wear.
"Tiramisu with empanadas?" Pedro chuckled as he opened the door and stepped to the side to let her in, "interesting combo"
"Well, I figured if you're choosing dinner I can choose dessert. Tiramisu is my favourite" Rue smirked as she handed him the beer.
Rue quickly discovered that Pedro was an incredible cook. They sat at the dining table for literal hours and ate, drank beer and talked about anything and everything. Pedro was making Rue belly laugh so hard she snorted, he found it adorable and never wanted to forget the sound of her laughter.
The couple had moved over to the sofa and had the office on for background noise. "Tell you what, Pascal. This is probably one of the best dates I've ever had"
"Me too, Lawley. Was Sebastian not much of a romantic?"
Rue scoffed as she swigged her beer, "one time I asked if we could go to in'n'out and he said he didn't want to be seen in public with me"
Pedro's jaw fell open and he frowned, "but you're both world known actors, you're everywhere all the time"
"Didn't make any sense to me either" rue laughed.
"How long were you with him?"
"I broke up with him on our 4 year anniversary, the day before my mums funeral. I really should've done it years ago, I don't think I ever loved him. But I was young when we got together, I was 20. He was alot older and said the right things" Rue shrugged.
"The day before your mums funeral?" Pedro questioned, "that must've been rough"
"Not really. He told me he didn't want to come to her funeral anyway and by that point i could hardly call what we had a relationship. I was in England and I just called him and said I'm over it"
"Sounds like a real jackass" Pedro sighed.
"He was. But that part of my life is behind me now. I'm onto bigger and better things" Rue smiled as she moved closer to Pedro. He wrapped his arm around her and she rested on his shoulder.
A comfortable silence grew between them as they watched the tv. Pedro couldn't stop thinking about how strong his feelings were for Rue already. The urge to protect her from everyone and everything but also love and cherish her for aslong as she'd let him.
"Hey, Pedro?" Rue mumbled quietly as she turned her body to face him.
"Hmmm?"
"I really do mean it when I said thank you for saving me. I don't want to keep going on about it but-"
Rue was cut off when Pedro leant down and placed a kiss on her lips. It was gentle and delicate but passionate and said so much.
"I'm sorry, I've been wanting to do that for a while" he blushed.
"Don't apologise" Rue smiled as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "kiss me again"
Pedro hesitated for a second as he read her face. He kissed Rue again but this time it was much more intimate. Pedro pulled Rue's thighs so she was laid on her back as he held himself above her. He placed a trail of kisses down the side of her neck and small moans left her lips. They both pulled away before anything further could happen when Rue's phone went off.
"Alexa has texted me" Rue frowned, seeing the time, "she's not normally awake this late"

Rue and Pedro read the message at the same time. Pedro pulled his phone out and found the e!news article, it wasn't difficult as it was trending.
"Oscar Winning Actress Rue Lawley Files Police Report and Restraining Order on Ex-Boyfriend Sebastian Stan for Sexual Assualt" Pedro read out the title.
Rue stood up as she started pacing the living room, "isn't this illegal?"
"Yes" Pedro confirmed, "I can get you a lawyer, Jon knows a few"
"I mean I guess this is only making him look bad but still" Rue sighed, "my dad doesn't even know. I didn't want anyone to know"
Pedro stood up and embraced her, "calm down, mi amor. Everything will be ok. Just breathe with me"
"I think I'm just gonna go home" Rue sighed, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have come. I'm more of a burden right now than anything else" she grabbed her bag and slipped her jacket on, not really letting Pedro say anything.
"rue, will you just hold on a second?" Pedro stated firmly as he followed her.
Pedro grabbed her hand when she reached the front door, "you are not a burden. Don't ever say that to me again. I asked you on this date because I like you, ok? I really like you. I think you're amazing. You're so talented and kind and you're beautiful" he placed his hand gently on her cheek. "What happened with Sebastian is not your fault. The story getting leaked isn't your fault either, it comes with being a celebrity. Everything will be ok" he reassured.
They were cut off by Rue's phone ringing. They saw the caller was her dad and Rue sighed.
"Go upstairs and take the call, he's probably worried sick. I'll be here for you when you come down" he reassured as he kissed her forehead.
