Felix P.O.V

I tried my hardest to fall back asleep, but it seemed futile. Why can't I ever sleep through the night? After my eyes opened minutes before, I looked at the clock. I had only been asleep for four hours. It was two in the morning, and I had my arms wrapped securely around Ella. Now I stand by the door, prepared to explore the camp grounds in the moonlight. I cringe when the door squeaks loudly, but Ella only snores. I blow a kiss in her direction and head off for the night air. The ground is moist and the breeze smells clean and earthy. I hardly know my way around, but soon I find myself at the large eating area. A few broken glasses and pieces of trash litter the ground from the chaos earlier. I wonder if it happens a lot here. That brings my thoughts back to Taylor. The guy is a complete madman, bent on destroying anything in his path. I remember the gesture he had made to Ella and chills run down my arms. I guess Ella and I are the things in his path. If he so much as lays a finger on her, all hell will break loose, that I am sure of. Just then, a loud pop disrupts the peaceful night. I jump, expecting Taylor to come running for me, but instead the opposite appears."Hey Felix." Sienna's red hair practically glows in the moon, and I can't help but be happy that it is dark. "What are you doing out here? It's late." She whispers. I shrug. "Could ask the same of you." Sienna smirks and walks closer. Suddenly her crystal green eyes become entirely focused on my own, almost as if she is reading my mind. "Come on. I want to show you something." Sienna smiles. As quick as a rabbit, she dashes into the woods. I have to jog to catch up with her. For a couple minutes we run through the night, suppressing giggles and trying to be quiet. It completely weirds me out, that feeling of knowing Sienna as it intensifies. I've only ever experienced the sensation when I met Ella. The connection makes me sick to my stomach, and I remind myself that I'd only known Sienna for a couple of hours. "Felix! Come on, hurry!" I see red hair disappear behind a thick tree and run even faster to catch it. CRASH!My arms sting as I sling unexpectedly through a thicket of branches. "Woah dude. Slow your roll." Sienna cackles. "I brush myself off and follow her now slow walk a few more paces. I don't notice that we have reached the place until I run right into Sienna. "Sorry." I mumble. But her focus is no longer on me. Before us, glistening black in the moon, lies a vast lake. Fireflies light up the woods, and the water whispers lazily on the shore. "Wow..." I say aloud. Sienna smiles and moves to sit down on the rocky sand. "Don't be shy." She beckons.

Sienna and I must have been here for two hours. The moon is slowly sinking lower, but the sky remains its mysterious black. "Sienna, can I ask you something?" I speak the first words in an hour, breaking the peaceful silence that covered us. Sienna looks at me. "Fine. Shoot." She grumbles. I am determined to break that wall of hers somehow. "Why do you do all this?"My question must surprise the red head, because it takes a moment for her to respond."They killed them. My family. All six of them." The quiet words hit my ears and I reel back in shock. "Sienna.." I place a hand on her shoulder. "Yea. I guess somebody told, and one night, there was a crash and these horrible bangs. I was in my hiding spot in the wall for almost two days. I remember my mom had shoved me in there without hardly a goodbye. I was too scared to come out." She falters at the information I am sure she hasn't spoken to anyone. "When I did, I tripped over her. My mother. They had shot a clear hole in her heart. There was so much blood...so much blood, Felix." Patiently I wait for her to continue as my brain tries to process the heartbreaking information. "I was 7 years old." All of a sudden Sienna's wall crumbles. A small tear leaks out, followed by another, and another. Big tears roll down her face and on the ground uncontrollably. Instinctively, I wrap my arms around her. Sienna completely dissolves, her sobs echoing across the lake. I cringe in pain for the so obviously broken girl. "Have you never told anyone?" I ask between her heaving breaths. "N-N-No." She cries. "I'm so sorry Sienna." I hug her tighter. She crumples into me, her cries slowly softening to a whimper. "Sorry you had to see that." Hastily Sienna jerks away, having realized the position she was in. "I can't believe I actually just told you that." She laughs. "Don't worry about it." I whisper, reaching my arms out again. Sienna hesitates before snuggling against me once more. "I'm sorry, it's just- I feel like time freezes here. I can forget here. " Sienna moves her head to look me in the eye. "I feel like I can fall in love..here." Our eyes lock on to each other and her eyes widen as she realizes what she just said. The beautiful girl opens her mouth to apologize. But she never gets to. Before I can think, my lips are on hers and she yelps in surprise. My hand tangles in her thick red hair and she kisses me back. Her nimble hands rub circles on my back and in my hair as we continue the kiss like it is our last. My chest burns with regret and guilt at what I am doing against Ella. Even so, I continue. Sienna's lips are soft and her breath tastes of mint and almonds. My thumb brushes a small scar on her jaw just before we break apart, chests heaving from lack of air and shock. Sienna scrambles away. I stand up. "I-I..I'm sorry..." I say before leaving her in the sand. Guilt washes over me like a tidal wave, threatening to drown me with every step. How could I do this to Ella? And why do I not regret it?
