I wiped the blood off my forehead. Changed my ashen checkered suit for a stygian black suit with a cherry red 'X' with a drip effect on the back. A pitch black Apple watch lay on my wrist. My red tie wagged side-to-side as I ambled to the interrogation room. I walked through the hallway, seeing a cracked window at the end. It was even bigger than the one that Cloak went through. The time was 11:15. I had 45 minutes to figure out this mystery before the prison shuts down. The killer had to be inside the prison; he had no where else to go. So the only thing he could do, was arrive for the conversation and not be suspicious.
"Here we go..." I took a deep breath before opening the door.
Three pairs of eyes glanced towards me. Kendrick -a former main guard of the ISP- sat there on the round table with a bamboozled face. King -a gang boss- leant back on the chair, counting decks of cards. Daniel -a former gang member- stood in the corner as he shivered coldly. Each one had the same injuries in the same place, yet, all the wounds were bandaged.
"Detective Red, requesting me here is highly unnecessary!" Kendrick stood up.
"Oh, my bad. How about you go ahead and leave then?" I opened the door sarcastically.
He angrily got up and nodded at me before ambling to the door way.

                                  I shut the door.

"Oh, wait, we're not finished yet..." I smiled.
"What exactly do you want with us?" King sat up straight.
He put his deck of cards down before speaking again, "Apparently, you don't have authority over the prison anymore. Since your partner and Darius are now 'unavailable'" he said.
"Your authorities aren't here, so you'll have to deal with my authorities, thank you very much." I replied.
"I want to back to my cell, I want to go back to my cell, I want to go to my cell..." Daniel continued murmuring the same words.
"I understand..." I tried to calm him down, "but there's absolutely no way I'm letting you go. Now, let's get down to business, shall we?"
"Where were all of you during the most recent attack?" I asked.
"I was outside fighting alongside the other troops against Krucial." Kendrick answered.
"I was busy separating my Cards." King said.
"I was hiding beneath the blanket in my bed..." Daniel said shyly.
I leant against the wall, looking at my watch. I stared upwards and hissed at the ceiling in disappointment. I stood forwards before speaking again.
"Lie, lie and truth." I pointed out.
"What do you mean sir?" Kendrick asked.
"King and Kendrick, you both were found trying to escape the mess together." I stated, "It was almost like you were trying to escort him out of the building with no further assistance."
"That was only because I thought it would be out of best interest to get King out of the floor or the gang members would've gotten to him." He replied.
"Oh, is that so?" I said, "The weird thing is that, the only way out of the 3rd section is by elevator. So I'm pretty sure that's what the hole in window at the end of the hallway was for; you tried to escape through the window."
Kendrick stood silent. King sat there, continuing to count his deck of cards as he smiled a menacing grin. It clear as day that Kendrick was mainly involved within the killings.
"King," I called out, "Where were you during the shower killing?" I asked.
"I was showering on the opposite side." He said bluntly.
"Alright." I said.

                                         I smiled.

"Bedtime." I said, " Most guards have families to attend to at home -which means nightfall is when the prison is lightly guarded. Fun fact: that's when one of the killings happened."
King's frown faded away. I moved closer towards him, giving him a unique smile; one that said 'I caught you'.
"If I'm correct, ( and I definitely am ) you were on the second floor at the time being and Kendrick was just a basic guard. So you wanted to have fun with one more murder and then try to escape so that you and everyone else would have been forced to move to the upper level -next to Daniel." I explained.
"Apparently, you were found talking to Darius and then somehow got into the same place as Daniel. Now I'm wondering if you were able to persuade Kendrick into getting you out of there." I said.
"He did not persuade me! Sir, you have gone too far out of line!" Kendrick jumped up.
"Shush guard boy." I humbled him, "Another thing is that Daniel also knew all of the gang members addresses include your secret hideout. So you had to find a way to keep him quiet -perhaps by killing him." I mentioned.
"Wh- why m- me?" Daniel shivered in fear.
"Why would I ever kill my beloved son? He is the youngest of of three." King stated.
"Is he really that beloved to you? After betraying you and snitching on multiple gang members, I don't really think so." I countered.
