JESSE LYNN: While Billy was gone we tried to keep practicing. We tried to keep that band feeling. We were all older now; I was finally 21. When Graham drove Billy back to their home, everything was awkward. None of us had left on good terms with Billy. Especially me and Camila.
GRAHAM DUNNE: We didn't really understand addiction back then. I mean, I thought he'd just fry out. Things would go back to the way they used to be.
"My man!" Warren had been the first to approach Billy when he arrived.
"Hey." The two hugged each other lightly. Karen had been the next person to hug him.
"You good?" She asked, breaking away.
"Been worse." He sorrowfully nodded his head, looking around the garage. "Hey, Jess."
Jesse didn't reply to the man, but she did walk straight over to him embracing him in a tight hug.
"I'm proud of you, Billy." She whispered in his ear. Eddie then began to try and show Billy a new bass line; but Billy needed to see his wife.
Camila had been inside, with her mother, taking care of Julia.
"Hi." Her voice broke when she looked up towards her husband. "You wanna come say hi?" Billy set down his bag, approaching the child.
"Hey, kiddo." He looked down at the baby. "Sorry I'm late."
"Wanna pick her up?" Camila sent a soft smile towards the man.
"Uh, I don't want to make her mad." Billy was afraid. "She's fine, she just needs a nap."
"Can I help with that?" Billy seemed clueless, the year he had missed with his child; he had no clue what to do.
"We're fine." Camila cradled Julia in her arms.
"I uh." Billy approached the brunette. "I missed you." He leaned his forehead against hers.
"My moms been uh, sleeping here with us." Camila turned her head to the side. "Helping with the night feedings. So maybe you should, yeah, just for the first few nights."
"Of course." He nodded, heart breaking more. "Sure."
EDDIE ROUNDTREE: The label dropped us a week after tour was canceled.
WARREN ROJAS: They made us pay back our advance and everything.
GRAHAM: Jess and I kept them practicing. As much as we could. I got a job at a body shop.
WARREN: Yeah I was working down at Malibu Harbor; cleaning boats. Which, I loved. And uh, and doing a lot of mushrooms. Which I also loved.
EDDIE: Basically, we were back to where we started. Worse, even.
INTERVIEWER: Are you still upset about it?
EDDIE: Me, nah. I mean holding onto that shit will be the death of ya. But he really fucked us over.
JESSE: Karen and I just worked around the house. Fixing our broken relationship with Camila. During that time, Eddie and I finally began talking again. You never know how much you miss someone until you fix what had happened.
