Throwing my elbow back, I launched my fist into the soft plastic of my punching bag. Drawing my arm back, I tossed it back again and again. With my breath ragged and my heart beat extremely high, I didn't let that stop me. My hands were wrapped in a thin fabric that was slightly starting to become red, that didn't stop me. My muscles were screaming at me to stop, but it didn't stop me. At times like this, I didn't allow anything to stop me.

Ways to disappear by Palisades was blasting in the background, the beat fueling me more and more.

This is what I needed. This was the only thing that helped keep those memories away, those feelings. I couldn't allow them in, not even for a second. Allowing them in meant allowing everything in, All the hurt, the pain, everything. That was something I just simply would never do.

Launching my arm forward one last time, I took a step back and allowed my body to sink to the floor. My entire body ached and my head was spinning, Feeling something slide down my fingers, I looked down to see blood dripping out of the cloths, down my fingers and on to the floor.

Sighing, I slowly started to remove the cloth to get a better look at my hands. Black and blue marks surrounded my knuckles with an occasional yellow tint indicating just  how old some of the bruises were. A few of my knuckles were split open which explained the blood pouring down my hands.

Standing up, I ripped the rest of the blood stained cloths off of my hand. Stepping off of the white matt, I threw the cloths into a nearby trash can as I made my way out of the gym.

Walking into the hall, I started to make my way  towards the kitchen. Darting my eyes towards the clock on the wall I noticed its only about 7AM, meaning I've been up and training for about 2 1/2 hours by now.

Turning around I make my way around the island and to the fridge. Opening the fridge I scan my eyes for necessities. Swiftly closing the fridge I make my way over to one of the stools located at the end of the island.

Plopping myself down, I set my green apple down as I twist off the top of my water bottle and take huge gulps of it. Picking up my apple I go to take my first bite as a voice startles me.

"I'm not surprised to see you up"

Turning around I noticed Gabriel making his way towards me. His wrinkled white tee shirt and PJ bottoms tells me that he just got out of bed. The deep indents at the corners of his mouth were on full show as he smiled at me.

Taking long strides, he grabs the stool next to me and plops down. Turning my gaze back in front of me, I take a huge bite out of my apple as I smirk.

"Surprised to see your lazy ass finally up"

Seeing his shocked expression as he whips his head towards me only makes me smirk harder.

"Seeing as I just went to sleep only 3 hours ago, I'd say its pretty impressive that I'm up and around right now" He says before chuckling.

Last night he had an extremely important meeting at our club and I hadn't noticed him getting home. He most likely spent the rest of his evening and early morning going through papers and sorting things out.
